      ive got an awful lot of vinyl that im simply dreading ripping! ive got a Pioneer PLX-500-K Direct Drive USB and ive noticed a hell of difference with vinyl rips when ive dropped them in to my sets. Is this RX11 really the answer? Its expensive for what i want but doesnt other apps like Mixed in key Platinum notes do the same thing? btw ive not used MIK Platinum yet nor ripped from the PLX-500-K, the rips ive used are vinyl rips from 'other' download sites (and yes i have the original 12"s) thanks...

      @@DaveCeeRocker I dont think MIK Platinum is anything like Izotope RX. RX is specifically for restoration, not for 'enhancing' like Platinum is supposed to be. I've never tried Platinum but it seems dubious to me.

      Can you recommend any good tutorials in how to remove crackle and hiss if there is no clip of just the crackle to train denoiser

    • @Ninja_Gaijin
      @Ninja_Gaijin 4 месяца назад

      @@Elliott.Revell For pops and clicks I use an old version of Wavelab, v6.11, and the inbuilt waveform repair tool. I don't usually have hiss on my vinyl, I'd call that surface noise.. I try to not buy noisy vinyl like that. But I think Izotope RX would be good for that, you can use a bit of silent moment to train it I've heard. But, I feel like there's always a risk with these kinds of tools, that you might remove some high frequency content when doing the hiss removal. So I've never done it. I thought about it for some cassette tapes, but I ended up getting someone to rip on a high end Nakamichi (CR-7) and surprisingly the hiss was really quite low, so I just left it. But I might mess around with it. Hiss will be throughout so you can easily get the clip from the start or end of the record lead in / run out. Crackle and pops, you got to go through manually and fix EVERY pop. But you can see it on the waveform usually, and if not see it, you're going to hear it. It's time consuming. But it's better quality to do manually than some automated process which can screw up if you have complicated music that might sound like clicks for some sounds.

    Exclusively for stem separation is it worth the price compared to ripX? It looks powerful, but not sure I would get the value from it when I have ripX.

      I would like TRAKTOR to incorporate some the new of features of RX11 tools thats been mentioned. What I really want is a feature in TRAKTOR besides the stems feature is the ability to fix tracks in TIDAL what ever I stream them. Basically enhancing some of the audio for the listeners ear before I play them. Some old tracks doesn't sound great as others even when streamed. I think the feature should be available right before a gig during the analyzation process for bpm's and key info or as its dropped in a deck of choice.

    For the future of Dj entertainment I would really like for someone to work with companies who have interactive projector equipment for games and life like characters. It would be nice to have celebrities of choice interact with the guests. That idea I think would really change the game for the Dj entertainment business. I could do a different show every weekend with endless possibilities with the included technologies we have today.

      @@gavinbroughton old FHG and similar encoders, even at 320cbr, sound terrible.. there's no way to restore lost data, which is what you are doing by creating 128cbr mp3 even nowadays with higher quality encoders. The old encoders Blade, FHG and even Lame all sounded quite bad at lower bitrates. You could try to 'enhance' them by 'mastering' with software like this, but you aren't going to fix splashy and warbly cymbals, lost treble content and other issues.

      Topaz Video AI upscales video, fixes compression artifacts, denoises, recognizes people faces and upgrades it, and finally adds new frames for slow motion. I’m sure a software can eventually upgrade the audio. Hopefully it doesn’t sound like a redrum.

    There are better software for vocal isolation. The one i use is probably the best available on the net and is very comprehensive with many different algorithms and ability to experiment with algorithmic combinations. I spend hours curating my vocals like this. Its a lot of work by the time they are played.
