Hi Sir, I am new to Linux and got some confusion on your discussion on time stamp 32:35. It should have displayed the string “Aprillia” since it ends with the letter “a”, right? I am referring to this line: $ cat Automobiles.txt | grep ‘$a’. Hoping for your kind feedback. Thank you. I’m learning a lot about this video 😊
Hi Jiresse, Grep means grabbing, So any term with $a in it will be output when you pipe the cat command. Not just anything ending with 'a'. Enjoy learning with Edureka! :)
