Isn't this the premise of Foster's Home for Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends??? I mean, it's a fleshed out story and less silliness, but the premise is still the same: most kids outgrow their imaginary friends--some of whom are EXTRA quirky--but a select few kids can see all of the imaginary friends? I think making it live and giving it a real plot is great, I just hope no one was ripped off.

So just going to say the song in the background of this trailer is beautiful and by a criminally underrated band like the original song is 7 minutes long but it’s completely beautiful despite having the same piano melody which surprisingly carries it beautifully and I just love how it fits the movie perfectly

Did this start out as a Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends movie that got canceled and re-worked into this? A boy and girl lead, the lead imaginary character is named Blue, a bunch of imaginary characters that were abandoned/forgotten. This had to have once been a script for that show.
