Espetacular! Isso é um sonho realizado pra mim, pois tal tipo de interoperabilidade é escasso mesmo entre softwares de mesmos desenvolvedores. Muito obrigado, principalmente por disponibilizar esta poderosa ferramenta de graça!

Hi Bilal, is there a way that we convert rhino geometries to revit mass family so we can add mass floors? assume all geometries will be built solid.

      Hey Jason,
Have you tried receiving your geometry in Mass Family Editor environment?

my question is, is there anything that speckle does that rhino.inside.revit doesnt?

In straight conversion terms, operating RIR may be a great fit for a single player's needs. But this may not be the only determinant.
If you use RIR, you don't get:
      - Version control on all your conversions
      - 3D web view of the data being exchanged
      - Ability to query or view that data in other applications
      - Online collaboration
      - Ability to operate with others who may not have GH experience
      - Use different machines in different offices where the licences aren't both present on the same machine
      - Combine multiple data streams from other software
However, if the RiR works for you on an object creation basis, you can also use Speckle in your GH definitions to gain the advantages above and get the best of both.

Please also consider plasticity as it is much easier to model something in plasticity than rhino and it is way easy and faster also. For revit families, it will be best solution.
I am saying this to you as the developer of plasticity already provide connection for blender so they will be happy to do so for other softwares as well.

      Hey there,
If you happen to know the developer who is willing to create a connection for speckle, we would be happy to assist them in any way possible. However, developing a connector for software that we don't have any experience with can be a very time-consuming task. Currently, we do not have the bandwidth to experiment with it. In the meantime, people can use the Blender route to export their models from Plasticity and send them to Speckle via Blender.
I see that you have already created a thread in our forum. We take great care of our community's requests. We can consider adding a Plasticity connector only upon receiving more requests from the community.

what about using this method with high poly 3dsmax models ? is this possible or is it going to be bad optimised ? thank you

    • @SpeckleSystems
      @SpeckleSystems  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hey Greco,
We do not have a connector for 3ds max. But i guess you can import them into Rhino and go from there. We don't do any optimization ourselves, but you can do that inside Rhino/SketchUp if you really need to.
