- 12 Cars in the 30 gram and under rank from the loose stash are dusted up and ready to go. Will they get in where they fit in? Let’s find out!

Yes, I'm having a beer while I'm watching this (actually on my 2nd) but that is not what is causing me to see double so much in this weight class! It's blowing my mind! You had a similar event with a few that were decided by the 10,000ths, but to have this many in one 18 minute video- with car introductions and weigh ins! - that's insane!!! I've been rooting for the red F1 since it took out the 24Ours and I can't tell you how many times I've cheered out loud and even come out of my seat when you hit the slow motion. This is truly one of the best, most competitive videos I've seen on ANY channel!
Love your enthusiasm, my friend!
I know where you're coming from, I've said the F-word a time or two while spectacting.
@@ScaleRacingChannel All in response to your hard work!
F1 Racer getting it done in the bracket......and a gr8 Gate win....I picked this one up yesterday too, looks like I need to gettem into the SpeedShop.....good to see the Featherweight Division getting track time
F1 racers are consistently good in this rank. Unless they have MC5 wheels. Those I would avoid.
Hawt damn, super-cool, pure-pro. I do like watching the Corgi's run. 🤩😎🍺
I have a lot more Corgi’s to test out, so stay tuned!
🏁😎
It's all about the competition for me. This is why we have weight classes, right? Great stuff Brandon.
Agreed. Even tho they aren’t the fastest of the lot, they still show us some competitive in rank racing.
Thanks for watching!
I enjoyed the lightweights. The Corgis are all new to me so it's fun to see them run. I've had luck with Formula Racer so they must all be decently good. I really liked that Mazda RX-7. I was glad to see it keep its position. Thanks for the great racing and video Brandon!
Corgis are cool cars, but they are usually very light. Look for wheels with the center speed ring in excellent condition for your best bet.
The Mazda will probably make up a place or two after a good wheel work.
Thanks for watching, Michael!
Good racing 🏁
At 1:03 - YES! THERE is the gold 24Ours that came with the matching "HW 28" Hauler/Semi you have at the end of the track! I have that set as well and my 24Ours is exceptionally fast, but is not in my top 10. Its nice to see an open wheel racer from HW in that box, too! That red one middle bottom- Mystery Model, I got 2 for the wheels and they're both great- and there's another similar that came out 2 years ago, maybe 3, in the HW Race Team livery. I wish Mattel would make heavier versions of those!
Is the McLaren Speedtail in this weight category?
You are absolutely correct. Totally forgot where that 24 Ours came from!
I have some Pro Racing Indy cars still in package that I sure hope do well.
@@hilanddoug I think it is a low 30 gram car. I could be mistaken tho.
Very cool race cars bro
Nice Corgis 👍 I don't really bother with these under 30g cars, my lightweights are everything up to 39.99g. I'm also contemplating on running them with lower gate height than heavier cars since these lightweights seem to like that better 🤔
I knew you’d appreciate the Corgis!
The 30g class gets the least amount of love, and I typically don’t buy a lot of the unlicensed mainlines that fit the category. Still a pretty competitive field at my top 12.
Very cool! I want a track id be racing all day probably lose my job
Ha, yeah It’s a lot of fun!
Very cool video scale racing channel
Thanks 👍
I like the oddball cars that don’t get the love. Seems like HW likes these cheap castings. Still for their weight class. Racing is racing!!
The HW bean counters will continue to make these new cars as light as possible. Shame.
But these guys can show some competitive racing, which is what we like to see!
I work in a die shop. we don't do toy stuff, just industrial. That F40 for its size is impressive. it is obviously very thin-walled, making miss-run territory. I would love to know the overall scrap percentage in a die-cast toy foundry. I can also understand why some cars of the same model, can be very different in speed. Too much to explain in text but yer they are probably cast in dies of 6 maybe 12, then being dies not always the exact same temp, depending on the operator at the time, and ambiance.
I would imagine the pre finishing metal scrap would be mostly 100% recyclable. Not sure about the plastic tho.
There are so many variables, you can run 20 of the exact same casting and still not have identical runs.
Thanks for watching!
WE call it scrap, but yes it can go straight back in the pot. The Sand casting is where you dont want to much scrap, as alot more labour in the making of them castings, we get bonus pay if scrap is below 10% each month. The aluminium we use, especially for military work, has certified paper work with it. It would be interesting what grade they use for toy cars. Just cheapest possible id guess.
So now only the "62g and up" episode is left, right?
Yes, it is next. But it is not the last of these. Quite a few more boxes to go through!
How could I contact you outside of RUclips? I'm looking to build my first drag strip track.

It's not often that you mess up a race, but you did on this one.
The Batmobile beat the Mangusta twice and yet you advanced the Mangusta?
Might have a different outcome for your ranks?
☠️
Yeah, I messed that one up. Good catch!
Batmobile did not make ranks tho.
Oh no! They're getting shorter! lol.... I guess this just means there was less movement in the stack!
Lightweights won’t come close to the stack.
And getting them into a rank of only 12 means fewer challenges at the end. That’s ok, more opportunities later!
@@ScaleRacingChannel For the record, I laughed BEFORE you said, "the Adam's Probe". 🤣
@@ScaleRacingChannel To see a few of these post sub 2.30 is impressive! I bought 2 of the F1 Mystery Models for the white wheels and both were fast out of the bag. Looks like yours was, too!
@@hilanddoug I believe it is a new wheel tooling.
@@ScaleRacingChannel I was about to write that I think they're white lace wheels but then I went and had a look and by golly, you're right! Same as on the Celero GT (another light weight?) but white. I'm going to have to go get a few more of these for wheel swaps because they look great in white and it would seem they're good for racing.
