I’ve always wanted to make these fancy collars, so I decided to make them before I start my next big project!

I don't think the collars themselves are too big, just the neck hole! I think if you make the neck circumference a lot closer to the collars of your sweaters, it'll look a lot more natural :) but they are very cute anyway!

I wonder if a 3 or 2 weight yarn would help with the bulkiness... I imagine it would drape more, too. And omg the kitty collar 😍

These are adorable, but the Christmas one is definitely my favorite. But I think if you just remove 1 or 2 squares from the others, they would fit around your neck better. They are super cute, and I appreciate the info on making different granny square shapes! Totoro is just too cute! I love seeing the babies! ❤

I agree with someone else who said the neck holes are too big! If it’s closer to your neck it’ll look more like a collar and not so oversized, but I also agree that I would use smaller yarn too for the best effect. Cute idea though!

I think the black and white one would go well with any plain coloured crewnecks too! After all, black and white are neutrals and go with everything

Maybe you could try again with one fewer rounds on each of the granny shapes. They look cool, I like the clowncore one but also wouldn't feel like I could wear it out

the kitty collar was an absolute success. perhaps consider using a thinner yarn (im guessing you didnt have that in your stash).
i would like it if you gave the collar another try for a future part 2 (fingers crossed)

I like the idea of collars much more than the collars themselves- that said- these came out beautifully, just not my cup of tea. Totoro however, was the prettiest darling in hers. And I might have to make one for my cat now.
