I have my safe behind a puzzle too. My puzzle is a bit different though. Basically you have to figure out how to get passed the area without my cat ripping your head off.
I once rented a house that had a lockable wardrobe with a large safe in it, I already had a small safe so I put that safe in the bigger safe and the key to the wardrobe in a puzzle box. I'll be damned if anyone is stealing my spare car key! (Even I couldn't be bothered to open that safe).

Several more minutes to get the safe open, and what's inside? Just a note: wrong one. They slowly realize every picture has a safe behind it, just as the flashing blue & red lights appear through the window.
Actually that beeping is pure genius!!!! It keeps catching the person off guard while trying to figure out the secret so eventually they will say screw it and leave it alone as they know that sound will wake you up. I bet it would also deter them as well and may leave the place thinking they woke the person up

I actually have that safe. I got ripped to shreds on (ironically) a harbor freight Facebook group about how crappy it is. But it does the job i need it for. Basically a super secure medicine cabinet. Still need a picture to cover it. Unrelated, i noticed that you are lefthanded and play guitars righthanded. Me too
Okay this is so cool. You should have a secret safe in the secret room. Nice job, It came out nice. Its just for fun....Or is it....(Cat in the background would have approve of subtitles.) I like how you put a puzzle in it instead of just covering it with a picture and taking the easy boring ay out.
Ok now this is interesting since it allows you to get creative on where to hide things with a safe. Also if you’re gonna do this, other than making sure that safe is secure in a location where it can’t be found & that it can’t be potential stolen. You might wanna support the safe from underneath since the weight of the objects in the safe can bear down on it over time & it can fall down. Supporting the safe may depend on where you have located in your particular home.

The old movie cliche is for a short guy with a German accent, a monocle and a screw on hook hand pulls the painting aside and there’s a wall safe. He turns the dial and opens the safe where there is a bag of gems and jewels, a pile of dollars, a Luger and a strange withered hirsute hand with long claw like nails.
This is my favorite I have seen from you in a while! I would love to try to combine this with the secret room [bookshelf door] you did a video for a few years back!
This is such a good idea. WOuld be better if the pattern were made of metal though, because someone could just pull and break the 3D print. All for fun though. Cool project!
Didn’t gave me a idea, but reminded, just a little bit, of my “secret painting”. Witch is basically a wood frame with some shelves and a painting of the god father with hinges on it. Love your videos!

As an option copper tape is available and solders great. I have used it for several projects where wires were not practical or for contacts.
