Today I review the harbor freight Electric Pole Saw. I needed one for a job and decided to give this a chance. Once i used it for a single job I found my self using it for others. I was really surprised to see they were using Oregon parts, I really thought it was going to come with china hard to find replacement parts.

I Purchased the HarborFreight pole saw a couple years ago. I had a few limbs like you that needed to be trimmed and we’re out of reach. Before I started, I did adjust the chain. It worked well. I think it is worth the price I paid, and I would recommend this saw. Thanks for the video.

I've had mine for may be eight years and I'm a heavy seasonal user before the motor brushes finally disintegrated. I've sharpened and swapped the chains a few times already. My only complaint is the poorly designed oil system which leaks from the inside out and makes quite a mess. Probably what impressed me most after eight years is the metal spiral bevel gear showed very little wear if any. It's either the gears were well made or there was so much oil leak it kept things well lubed constantly.

Cut down 6 adult pines, notch cuts, with this. Heights 25-40 ft. Largest cuts 12 inch trunks. Unbelieveable. Plus once the tree is on the ground, don't have to bend over to cut it to pieces. My back is happy. Way less effort than my friends $450 (steel) chainsaw that he brought over, quieter and little safer too. For the lower parts of the trees I just made two cuts to cut them fully. One tree fell with the saw stuck in it, I bound the saw up twice (my fault impatient) motor started smoking. Still works great. I also used junk leftover oil I had in it. Best $65 saw ever.

I bought one of these a couple of years ago and have used the heck out of it and it has never let me down. I have cut the equivalent of several hunderd board feet of limbs and trees without a hitch. It has plenty of power and cuts like a laser beam! I love mine!

Those saws kick butt for the price. I bought one several years ago. I was so impressed I wanted to put it to the ultimate test. I cut down a 8 inch maple that was in my way. I felled the tree with the big saw but completely cut the tree up to take it to the dump with the pole saw. Any cut that was to thick I cut both sides. It ate up a 20 foot tall swamp maple.....Never slowed down a bit. Only thing I don't like is the same on all these electric saws. They leak oil bad. I now use a hand oiler on the chains never filling the Reservoir

Good buy for $65. My 20 year-old pole saw needs replacing. I’ll probably buy one, when they go on sale again.

I just purchased one last week to prune two of my oak trees in my front yard and this pole saw was amazing. I cut 6-inch cuts with no problems and it cuts better than my electric chainsaw for 65$ you can't beat this pole saw.

Thanks for the review. I’ve been in the market for a pole saw for trees in the backyard! I have the green Harbor Freight chainsaw that’s electric and it’s been a good chain saw around the yard.

I used it today 7/13/23...I thought it be a piece of junk but it worked great .I cut of some dried up branches...had to get used to the weight at the end since I had it extended as far as it could go .plus I didn't over tighten the locking adjuster I think some people over tighten and break it

What is the width of the blade including the chain? What is the widest point of the head/motor?

I think the extension on mine is stuck. I can’t loosen the job to turn it 😡. But the pole saw is awesome.

Mine only turns 1/2 to 1" then I have to really pull to get it to extend. No twisting and twisting like he did

I love my Kobalt 80-volt - 5ah battery - 10" Bar - 6 ft / 8ft foot Pole Saw. I have been using it for more than 3 years now. It works great on my southeast Louisiana farm clearing property that a hurricane went through and trashed all the trees in the woods of our 20-acre farm. Today I'll be cutting a 6-inch limb off of a tree out front.

Does any body tried cutting off palm tree branches with it and if it worked

Works perfectly with green and dried out branches in in Florida. Just make sure you get out from under the fronds because it cuts those very fast without and extra pressure on the saw.
