Just some trivia Jay: Hiroya (racer in the blue S15) is first a very cocky racer, he refused to even greet back when the two teams introduced themselves. But Takumi whooped him so bad and easily, he later became nicer.

Ok, you know I've got to come in with the car facts! Ikeda's car is a Nissan Fairlady Z Z33, sold in the USA as a Nissan 350Z. His car is equipped with a full Ings N-spec body-kit, Ings hood, front fenders, wing and wheels, a Momo steering wheel and some custom taillights, as for the engine, it has been turbocharged (probably a Greddy or HKS kit). Actually this car being in the series doesn't make much sense as it set in the 90's but this car only came out in 2002. This is a very common chassis for drifting nowadays due to its low cost compared to other Japanese cars, great power from factory, reliability and ease to drive. As for the blue car, it is a Nissan Silvia S15, the last generation of the same car Iketani drives (the Nissan Silvia S13). The lightening badge is the badge for this model only, as it did not come out in any other cars. The S15 was not sold in the USA but was sold in some countries under the name Nissan 200SX. It is very popular among enthusiast which made the prices skyrocket so now they are stupid expensive. For the upgrades to Ryosuke's FC there is actually no mention of it being supercharged, in the phone call, the mechanic asks if Ryosuke is calling because he wants to install a supercharger on the AE86, however due to poor subtitles (they were fan made) the misunderstanding of it going on the FC is pretty common. The upgrades for this race consist mostly on aerodynamics (fixed headlights, bumper kit, carbon vented hood, low profile mirrors), safety gear (racing seats, roll over protection bar, Momo steering wheel) and possibly some minor engine upgrades (a custom exhaust indicates potential engine upgrades). As for the roll bar Bunta installed in the 86, although it will still improve chassis rigidity as you said, after all you are reinforcing the chassis with strong steel tubes, its main purpose is to prevent the roof of the car from collapsing in case of a roll over, as well as a place to attach racing harnesses (racing seat belts used with the racing seat Bunta also fitted previously). If you have any questions, feel free to ask, as always. This next race between Ryosuke and the Grim Reaper is my favorite in the whole anime, I get chills every time I watch it!!

Some people dislike it or consider it weird, but Ryosuke's race was my favourite out of stage 4 and 5. I'm so hyped about what you're going to think of it
So the Fujiwara Zone had it foundations back in Fourth Stage, when Takumi was driving in the Impreza. Learning the difference between how a Rear Wheel Drive car drives and how a Four Wheel Car drives. Taking that and what he learned from riding with God Hand, the Fujiwara Zone is Takumi using God Hand’s cornering technique along with accelerating the 86 similar to how the Impreza would accelerate, making him dash away from his opponent i.e “teleport” away from his opponent.
I think Fourth Stage was the building blocks phase. The real foundation really started in First Stage after Takumi had raced Shingo in the Duck Tape Death Match and Ryosuke was the very first drive in the series who found out about this ability in it's earliest development stage.
Just a small heads up, Ryosuke’s FC doesn’t have the supercharger. (I’m pretty sure) Matsumoto was joking when he talked about putting a supercharger in the FC. I believe it’s still turbocharged.

And the whining sound you hear in its exhaust note video is coming from the 13B itself. Plus there’s a blowoff valve sound

They are racing on public roads, illegally. They can't block off the road because they can be arrested for what they're doing. They are also not in control of the roads. They can't stop people from using the roads, so they always have to worry about traffic, except for that one pass where the uphill and downhill were both one way.
For me these last stages is like the writer realising he's been doing the pulling the rabbit out of a hat trick too much with the races and he remembered he should probably add to the story. It helps if you think about it that way.
Just wanted to comment this since I don't see anyone else doing it: Ryosuke did not supercharge his FC, that was just a joke Matsumoto made. He probably increased his boost in the turbo to get more horsepower though

Roll cage does add stability to the body but it's main point is driver safety.. you attach your harness to it and in a wreck it keeps the car from crushing in on you. There are several levels and styles and are rated on a "point" system where ever place it connects to the frame/body is a point. You can have 2, 4, 6, etc point cages. Certain ones are required in certain sports once you got certain competition levels.
Essentially the Zero Theory proposes the idea that the driver and car are one single entity and that you must tune the car to the driving style of the person to get the most out of it. (This isn't the most accurate description of the Zero Theory)
the wing for the fc is for the corners of the track they are going to race, it's a really fast pass with big fast corners and not many hairpins so the added stability and downforce of the wing will let ryosuke take them way faster to keep up with the power of the r32 (wings are still very effective in other tracks, all of the opponents cars had wings this stage, but the faster ur going the more effective they get and hakone is the fastest touge in the serie). anyway im happy ur likeing stage 5, but for me it was the worst, still fine but way weaker than the others on all fronts (music, races, characters, story, visuals) kind of a snoozefest (save for the next race that's super good)
To be honest, Jay. Some people, like Shinigami don't want another partner. Sometimes the love is so strong that their loss makes you unable to feel any complex emotions. Makes you feel hollow and completely empty inside. Any loss can make you feel that for a while, family, friends, pets, but losing someone you felt the true connection with can make you break. I think that the music in this stage is more about setting the mood. Example: Shinigami's theme, which made you FEEL like you're in a horror movie, right? I think they focused less on shock factor and more on the energy they tried to portray with each song.

Fifth Stage seemed very iffy to me, the main problem for me is that they talk toooo much. Like yes its good info but some of the episodes there just explaning it and like one hype moment. Also I feel as if the races this stage arent that good, like the fujiwara zone it looks cool but like really? Its like spamming a glitch in a game and not doing it how your supposed to, it more efficient but wouldn't you have more fun seeing it how it really is all fleshed out and such. And I never actually got to finishing it to but thanks to you i can actually do that.
