Just dropping in and saying I GOT HIRED IN AT A HOSPITAL!!! Retail was stressing me out. Now, I have the hours I want, better pay, and most importantly a better environment. I just wanted to thank you again for your videos. Without those, I wouldn’t have passed the PTCB in March.
YAY!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS TECHIE I'm so happy I was able to help you. How is working in the hospital been? So happy you found a place that's not stressful and you're happy! hehe
hey hey! I actually do have another video! ruclips.net/video/2HMy-XSz2IY/видео.html let me know if this one helps or doesn't. I can make a more detailed one if needed :D
I finally got hired on as a pharmacy tech at my local hospital! I have no experience in pharmacy so this will be my first pharm tech job. I’m so excited but so nervous, how long do they normally train you at the hospital?
I would say understanding prescriptions and learning how to calculate doses, medication side effects and brand generic drug names, insurance. Skills I learned on my own would be mainly customer service, lead tech, scheduling, workflow and speed.
Hi, thanks for the great content. Do you think as a new grad tech it would be a good idea to go Inpatient instead of retail setting? I worked at a small clinic as a clerk and I've heard horror stories from people who worked at retail pharmacies but I wonder if going straight to inpatient is doable or a good move?
Hi hi! Thank you so much! I think going straight to inpatient isn’t bad at all. Especially if you don’t want to deal with customer service and calling insurance etc. Working retail straight out I feel like is easier to get hired because they always need help/ desperate lol
Hey girly!! It really depends on how many interviews the employer has to do. I would give in a week or two, but also after every interview I would send them a personal email thanking them for allowing me to interview etc also with my contact information. Let me know if you need like a example of that email :D
Hiii new techie!!! 😀🤩 Omg yay thank you!! So my hours rotate at the hospital I’m working at, we don’t have set schedules. I’m either working 5:30am-3pm 7am-3:30am 10am-6:30am 3pm-11:30pm But I mainly been working the morning shift which I love!!
😄😆ooh trust I definitely know how your feeling lol! I ran away from retail even though I’m still prn lol. Ooh that’s exciting 🥳Yay!!! I hope the second interview goes great/smoothly!
Hey! New Subscriber here! 😊 Can you please do a pharmacy technician requirement for North Carolina? I’m thinking about going to school for Pharmacy Tech.
