It was more dangerous for Dorit to leave at 1 a.m. by herself, with a driver. I do not believe a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist would diagnose PTSD in Dorit that quickly. It take's more than 1 or 2 sessions with a licensed Dr. to diagnose a mental health condition. Vietnam Vets have PTSD. Dorit claims her children don't know it happened. In the police report Dorit never mentioned a gun. Her TV version was different from the police report.
Diagnosing a patient with PTSD isn't done on a time continuum. The DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for PTSD includes: first, direct or indirect exposure to a traumatic event, followed by symptoms in four categories: intrusion, avoidance, negative changes in thoughts and mood, and changes in arousal and reactivity. Any patient presenting with this critera fits those parameters of diagnosis. Dorit clearly shows signs of all of them. She earned her diagnosis the hard way. Not a great look to dismiss another person's trauma, especially when it is clear you have little understanding of how the DSM works in this discipline.
Reminder that the time of the home invasion and the time of filming this after show were many months apart. It is entirely possible she has been diagnosed with PTSD by a professional in that time
If Dorit's children were "unaffected" by the home invasion, then suddenly having so much more visible security will affect their sense of safety and how they navigate the world.
But what's interesting is she alludes that Kyle's houses were not "secure". Girl, you're surrounded by the women, and producers and cameras. AND potential Bravo security. What tf is she talking about.

Dorito is FOS. I've had someone break into my home and steal from me. You immediately want to move and the ptsd would probably prevent you from going on television vacay trips. I haven't heard anything from her about wanting to learn self defense or getting a CC permit or anything of the sort. I doubt she can afford around the clock security. She claims to be a crime victim, but has no compassion for the victims in Erica's cases.

It was more dangerous for Dorit to leave at 1 a.m. by herself, with a driver. I do not believe a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist would diagnose PTSD in Dorit that quickly. It take's more than 1 or 2 sessions with a licensed Dr. to diagnose a mental health condition. Vietnam Vets have PTSD. Dorit claims her children don't know it happened. In the police report Dorit never mentioned a gun. Her TV version was different from the police report.
Diagnosing a patient with PTSD isn't done on a time continuum. The DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for PTSD
includes: first, direct or indirect exposure to a traumatic event, followed by symptoms in four categories: intrusion, avoidance, negative changes in thoughts and mood, and changes in arousal and reactivity.
Any patient presenting with this critera fits those parameters of diagnosis. Dorit clearly shows signs of all of them. She earned her diagnosis the hard way.
Not a great look to dismiss another person's trauma, especially when it is clear you have little understanding of how the DSM works in this discipline.
Reminder that the time of the home invasion and the time of filming this after show were many months apart. It is entirely possible she has been diagnosed with PTSD by a professional in that time

Having panic attacks equals being strong. Not everyone can take that. Being strong doesn’t equal not having panic attacks. People have no idea what is like to live with PTSD and the fear of getting a panic attack at any random moment.
