Thanks a lot, finally a solution. This BT external sound issue was my biggest regret after buying jiofiber, now finally it works on my 5.0.5 version STB. Also I checked that once paired, the BT device will auto connect to jio STB when turned on. So there was no issue with reconnecting BT device each times I wanted to switch from TV sound to BT sound.
Hey . Glad it was useful. But as mentioned, new update is not that far away. So make sure to not unpair the speaker at all. If not you will not be able to connect again.
@@IAmGizmogeek In 5.7.1 u can connect by search a device..It works for me..But u have do a small trick.. Just switch off Bluetooth device and disconnect from other devices and try to add in jiofiber..it's worked

Hey... I know that... Casting only works from RUclips app and none other app like photos, prime video, Netflix etc. That's the reason we cannot say it supports "casting"
@@ps272 Ok... Then it's possible that Jio is considering them as System Apps and made them part of OS to give smooth experience in Live TV and content from Jio TV+. People might not know that these apps are required for Live TV and uninstall. So to avoid it, they might have done it.
I recharged with 999 plan in September and got 1 year Amazon prime subscription but then I recharged with 399 for continuous 2 months and 1 month it worked well but the second month the subscription of Amazon prime ended ...I'd this a glitch
Hi... It's not a glitch. Technically as per Jio's terms, you have to be 999 plan for enjoyin Prime. But they give one month grace for it to work even on 399/699 but ends after that. 1 Year subscription is provided you have 999 plan every month. Hope this helps.
There's no clear details about it... Technically it should be available till you are on 999 or above even after 1 year... As there need to be 14 ott apps as per plan. But cannot comment as of now as I have not reached above 1 yr.
I am using jio fiber 999 plan, in live channels (star sports 1) i can only able to stream 480p. In from of 720p and 1080p options upgrade now is written.

Glad you liked it. With the new update it's not working. If it's not updated you are lucky and follow the method shown and do not unpair as you cannot pair with new update. Follow for more such updates.
can it play HEVC/H.265 videos (dual audio) through Pen drive, external HD, or desktop external HD, and can it support up to 4 TB, I try to play H.265 moves in my neighbor smart box (I don't have it.) but only black screen and voice comes and some of the videos are stuck. anfoutunitly no one can review or make videos for that.
Hey... I have connected upto 2TB and it supports well. Now the playback I also faced same as you mentioned, black screen, but only with one HDD. With another hdd all the same movie files played properly. Couldn't figure out yet what could be the reason, but yes the player is unreliable and not that feature friendly. It works well when it wants to, better than even some android TVs, but not reliable.
Bro you made things so easy for Jio users, really appreciated your efforts. Just need suggestions for browsing live channels easily for my dad, as he is into 70s and not able to get his favourite channels easily... It's a bit complicated !!

Hi.. Laptops do not take HDMI inputs. They can only give Output via HDMI. So to answer your question, NO, you cannot connect Jio STB to a laptop. You need a TV or a Monitor to use Jio STB. Hope this helps.

Help... Can we create our own channel list or fav channel list for easy access? Or can we assign a particular channel to a particular number like we do in regular set top box?
No..You cannot create a playlist.. Also numbers of each channel are fixed and you can call them by pressing number inside jio tv+ app. Gonna share an updated video soon. Stay tuned.
Sir I was continuously facing speed issues so I booked a engineer visit they told me that it was due to improper installation the enginner directly connected the wire to the fiber without using the patch cord .....is the problem of speed is due to not using the patch cord to connect the wire

Does it have dolby digital or dolby digital plus ?? I use a hdmi input to optical output extractor to play dolby digital 5.1 . But not sure what audio options are available . Can you share. Hey Bro... You can connect the speaker that has an optical cable input as the Settop box has Optical port for audio out. If your speaker only can take 3.5 mm input, then You can use a digital to analog converter. Check my video on how to get audio out from old speakers.

Hey .. glad my videos are helpful... 1. Technically Atmos transmits in DD+ container only when it's lossless. But as your TV is not Atmos capable, soundbar won't be able to recieve Atmos format as much as I know. 2. With Settop box you get pcm output which is stereo and DD+... With this it might be possible to get Atmos output, but I can't confirm as I got Atmos with inbuilt speakers of TV as my TV is Atmos. But the issue is none of the OTT apps are Atmos capable on Jio Settop box as it's a closed system unlike android TV. Hope it's helpful. Let me know if you have more queries.

I have a query, when watching any sport event, the playback isn't smooth, like when I'm watching live cricket thru hotstar(applicable to sony liv etc), the playback isn't smooth like it is in dth? Is there any way to fix it? It's like there are less frames in the playback so when the ball moves it isn't like super smooth, hope you get it. So is there any way to fix it? Is it because of the HDMI cable? Movies and all are quite good tho, just in live sports.
Hi... Live TV streaming especially sports does have the disadvantage. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do for that. If only the broadcasting is done with a better bandwidth, it will improve. Hotstar live is actually very bad. It's good for small screens and not suitable for large screens due to this very reason. If your TV has good AI scaling, it will improve a bit. Also try LAN connection for steady speeds if possible.
@@IAmGizmogeek Oh yeah I just checked the video details in the hotstar app while playing live cricket, the playback was @25FPS. That's so pathetic. The eyes hurt because of that.
@@priyanujbora1642 To be frank the video details are wrong most of the times. It sometimes even shows 1fps, which cannot be true. But anyway, most the content on TV plays at 24/30fps only.
Yes... You can always request for a Settop box by paying the extra 1000 security deposit. But they might ask to recharge with 999 plan for atleast the first time by giving some reasons, but technically it's not required.

@@prithvichetty15 Hey bro .. glad that you find me trust worthy... I may not be able to make a video but can give you feedback. I personally got very good support from Jio. Only once I got issue with connection and they resolved in 4hrs.. Even relocation in same city was done smoothly. But again many had bad experience in some other states. Mine is navi mumbai. So it's based on area and might vary a lot. If it's a metro city, mostly it's good, but In tier II cities it isn't that great.
I am watching live TV with the 150mbps plan. In some of the channels which aren't opened thru ott apps, there are some audio/video lag, I mean the sync is not proper. Only happens in live TV channels that don't operate thru ott. Using the set top box with WiFi (5ghz). In the speed test, I get around 140±2 Mbps. What can be the issue?
Hey... The ones which don't operate through OTT apps are directly broadcasted from their sites. So could be the issue from the source itself. Check once if those channels have similar issue on Jio TV app on phone.
In starting I was able to use my TV remote for both i.e. TV and Jio TV but suddenly after few months I was not able to do se. CEC is turned on in both. Any idea about same?
Yes... Exactly the same issue I faced too... I enquired with many others and it seems Jio removed the whole CEC control and limited to just power control.

Then I have to restart set top box and then times it is resolved. Also many times in Voot subscription of jio disappears and I am not able to watch anything.

You can use few apps on mobile of you have a Settop box as claiming subscription has to be done through Settop box. Hope this helps.

Can we create our own channel list or fav channel list for easy access? Or can we assign a particular channel to a particular number like we do in regular set top box?
No..You cannot create a playlist.. Also numbers of each channel are fixed and you can call them by pressing number inside jio tv+ app. Gonna share an updated video soon. Stay tuned.

Sir I was continuously facing speed issues so I booked a engineer visit they told me that it was due to improper installation the enginner directly connected the wire to the fiber without using the patch cord .....is the problem of speed is due to not using the patch cord to connect the wire

Ask them to change it and put a proper box. Those connections are very delicate and can go off anytime.

Does it have dolby digital or dolby digital plus ?? I use a hdmi input to optical output extractor to play dolby digital 5.1 . But not sure what audio options are available . Can you share. I am asking because I have a meecool km3 android 10.0 and I can't extract anything from it. Any response would be helpful
Hi.. It's DD+. Did you change the Sound Output mode in Meecool km3?
Yes spend 6 hrs manually changed all possible settings ...No success . Wrote a mail to meecool and still no success.

Hey Bro... You can connect the speaker that has an optical cable input as the Settop box has Optical port for audio out. If your speaker only can take 3.5 mm input, then You can use a digital to analog converter. Check my video on how to get audio out from old speakers.

Hello, your videos are very useful, keep up the great job... I have Sony Non Smart TV with HDMI ARC (supports Dolby Digital Plus out), I have 2 questions:
1. I am planning to buy Zebronics 9800 Soundbar - can I get Dolby Atmos sound or only Dolby Digital Plus?
2. Can we connect Jio 4K Set Top Box to Soundbar's HDMI IN? What will be the sound effect/options supported?

Hey .. glad my videos are helpful...
1. Technically Atmos transmits in DD+ container only when it's lossless. But as your TV is not Atmos capable, soundbar won't be able to recieve Atmos format as much as I know.
2. With Settop box you get pcm output which is stereo and DD+... With this it might be possible to get Atmos output, but I can't confirm as I got Atmos with inbuilt speakers of TV as my TV is Atmos. But the issue is none of the OTT apps are Atmos capable on Jio Settop box as it's a closed system unlike android TV.

Hi... You cannot update manually. You have to wait for it to be available. It's pushed in batches.

The sound is not working while I am trying to call from the jiotv camera ,the video is working properly but the mic doesn't seem to work properly because the other person doesn't hear the sound during the call made from the jiotv camera . I am using hikvision Ds -U02

You can connect with WiFi too. It's not necessary to connect with LAN wire.

I have a query, when watching any sport event, the playback isn't smooth, like when I'm watching live cricket thru hotstar(applicable to sony liv etc), the playback isn't smooth like it is in dth? Is there any way to fix it? It's like there are less frames in the playback so when the ball moves it isn't like super smooth, hope you get it. So is there any way to fix it? Is it because of the HDMI cable? Movies and all are quite good tho, just in live sports.

Hi... Live TV streaming especially sports does have the disadvantage. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do for that. If only the broadcasting is done with a better bandwidth, it will improve. Hotstar live is actually very bad. It's good for small screens and not suitable for large screens due to this very reason. If your TV has good AI scaling, it will improve a bit. Also try LAN connection for steady speeds if possible.
@@IAmGizmogeek Oh yeah I just checked the video details in the hotstar app while playing live cricket, the playback was @25FPS. That's so pathetic. The eyes hurt because of that.
Also changing the resolution has no effect on the framerate. It's constant @25fps. Shame.
@@priyanujbora1642 To be frank the video details are wrong most of the times. It sometimes even shows 1fps, which cannot be true. But anyway, most the content on TV plays at 24/30fps only.
Can we claim set top box without changing into 999rs plan?
Yes... You can always request for a Settop box by paying the extra 1000 security deposit. But they might ask to recharge with 999 plan for atleast the first time by giving some reasons, but technically it's not required.

@@prithvichetty15 Hey bro .. glad that you find me trust worthy... I may not be able to make a video but can give you feedback. I personally got very good support from Jio. Only once I got issue with connection and they resolved in 4hrs.. Even relocation in same city was done smoothly. But again many had bad experience in some other states. Mine is navi mumbai. So it's based on area and might vary a lot. If it's a metro city, mostly it's good, but In tier II cities it isn't that great.

I am watching live TV with the 150mbps plan. In some of the channels which aren't opened thru ott apps, there are some audio/video lag, I mean the sync is not proper. Only happens in live TV channels that don't operate thru ott. Using the set top box with WiFi (5ghz). In the speed test, I get around 140±2 Mbps. What can be the issue?
Hey... The ones which don't operate through OTT apps are directly broadcasted from their sites. So could be the issue from the source itself. Check once if those channels have similar issue on Jio TV app on phone.
@@IAmGizmogeek checked it but the audio video sync issue wasn't present in the jiotv app in phone. Idk what's the issue with jiotv+.

In starting I was able to use my TV remote for both i.e. TV and Jio TV but suddenly after few months I was not able to do se. CEC is turned on in both. Any idea about same?
Yes... Exactly the same issue I faced too... I enquired with many others and it seems Jio removed the whole CEC control and limited to just power control.

@@IAmGizmogeek My father watches few TV serials like Ahilya and Saibaba and I watch live sports and have faced same issue many time not all times but many times. Then I have to restart set top box and then times it is resolved.
Also many times in Voot subscription of jio disappears and I am not able to watch anything.
