Found you 30 minutes ago by the easy cookie dough icecream recipe and now i see you eating my country's food , thank you so much Greg for your recipe and for supporting my country food ❤️❤️❤️
That reminds me of our trip to Vietnam last year. Only that lot would have been about 42k dong, or about $3 Aud. And that coke would have been a giant beer. I guess its the French influence in their baking banh mi 'baguette' that makes them so good. Gimme some of this over a boring fast food chain crap any day. Cà phê đá is _almost_ better than a beer on a hot day.
Doing the right thing, I wouldn't have expected anything less from GregO 👍 . I've got a local joint that I frequent that makes these, gotta LOVE Banh Mi, I'm desperately trying to support them at the moment. We soldier on....
I always did like most Vietnamese dishes when I came in contact with them in the 70's. They are tasty and nutritious and great for not gaining too much weight.
Fantastic video Greg. The food looked amazing and your review said it all. Will definitely give this on a try. A brilliant idea promoting small individual businesses like Shakermaker especially during these troubling times. Good on Ya Mate!!!
Keep up the good work grego. Love how ya supporting local business. After all this over. I’m gonna have to come to the golf coast and have a beer with ya
Hi Greg Thank you for this video,I moved to the G.C two years ago from Sydney where we are spoiled with great Veit food. I have been searching the G.C for authentic Bahn MI ,now you have found it , I will be there in a few days Thank you.
Hi GregO, I love watching your vids each week that was a great plug for the restaurant for in these hard times if you could a few more for others just like this one would be great we will all stay tunned cheers, GlennO.
Wow Greg that looks so amazing I love it, yr so lucky that shop is open since the the lockdown, heaps of traffic on the rd, those rice paper rolls are so gd and tasty be safe
Greg's kitchen has been my no.1 go-to RUclips video this year. Greg is not only hilarious, but he doesn't b.s the viewer . I would go as far to say he has over taken Hugo Weaving (forget matrix, check out his Douglas Jardine in 80's tv cricket series bodyline) as the all time best aussie. High praise indeed coming from a pom! Greg - if we ever get through this virus & you make it to London I would love to treat you to my favourite dim sum place!
good idea to help small busineses out. plus this looks a billion times better than any of the fast food you usually buy and seems cheaper too. An all roud win for everybody here
I don't know your location, but in California the prawn rice paper roll are called spring roll over here. The size of your banh mi would go for about 2.50. Thanks for supporting small businesses in times like this and glad you enjoyed Vietnamese food!
I only discovered your channel today when I was looking for a Hungry Jacks low carb burger review, and I've been watching you non stop! By the way, I thought your Maccas cheeseburger vid from years ago didn't deserve the hate. And tonight I'm having cheeseburgers just like you made because of it (I can't eat Maccas because I made a lifetime bet with a friend back in 2001, don't miss it) Liked and Subbed man
Love them Vietnamese rolls, they filling and cheap I always get the combination but I find they bit of a hit n miss as some places are real tasty and others aren't but when u find a good one that's where u stay..
Caveman I agree ☝️ For those that have never tried one. If you take a bite and you get a nice crunch of bread and supper fresh veggies you know you found the real deal.
You’re a top bloke mate, I have a small coffee biz in Gippsland Victoria called QuickCuppa. Wish you were able to do a review of us. Tough times atm and thanks for supporting small businesses like mine.
Bahn mi are the bomb. I have the roast pork with pork crackle, a flavor explosion of taste and textures in your mouth. Eat them once a wk. Best food creation ever!!
I think it is pretty cool you can drive through at get this! I used to eat a lot of this kinda stuff, very refreshing and light food. Unfortunately my local Vietnamese place got slapped with several hefty penalties for food safety violations so I never went back
Thank you for supporting the small shops and restaurants. I am always wondering about the reason why some viewers click on the thumb down button. Greetings from Switzerland.
There's a local white guy here in the States that's makes some incredible banh mi! What a cavalcade of flavor! He specializes in bbq but his bread and sandwiches are awesome! Those shrimp rolls for $5 AUS is a steal! That's a lot of food for the money! I wished you would have tried the Vietnamese iced coffee, I bet it's excellent.
Tempest Fury a steal to some, yes. To me, it’s daylight robbery. For that price, they should make it the legit style to give their customers a true taste of their culture but I guess they gotta make their $$.....
Lucky Greg we are locked down over the ditch in New Zealand and have no take away or anything open other then super markets and petrol stations!! 😎👌🏻 hope your doing good in OZ love the reviews
Wow now thats what we need more of in the world. Real small business that sell real food not garbage food with preservatives, soy, gmo and crud. Im all for that. Looked really tasty. I went into the small expensive food market today and got a nice fresh baked bread sammich with cajun Turkey, pickles, hot peppers, tomatoe, Swiss cheese, lettuce, spicy mouse turd, and mayo. Yummers. Yes I took precautions against the big bad virus. 9
Takes me back to living in Springvale in Melbourne and the lunchtime Vietnamese Pork rolls (with the chili) and a Vietnamese coffee. Great foodie suburb. Check it out if you're ever in Melbourne.
Looked great. I have tried making rice paper rolls occasionally but they turn out all wonky looking. I think I need to practice more. Yes, help out our small businesses.
Greg I've always wanted to try a banh mi but I could never do it because that part of the world never list allergens. It looks yummo, I'm more motivated now to make homemade than ever, thanks! :)
Basic ingredients for a Bahn Mi in Australia is a crusty long roll fresh from a bakery (or from the Bahn Mi bakery itself), whipped butter, canned pate (chicken, pork or mixed meat), you can choose roast pork, roast chicken or gelatinous pork (like head cheese), red or white onion, cucumber strip, shredded iceberg lettuce, shredded carrot, green onion or spring onion strip, coriander sprig, sometimes mint leaves, chopped chilli, soy sauce, salt and pepper. Anything that you're allergic to there?
@@lmaree200886 that sounds doable, I never had soy sauce though. The thing about being in Vietnam is the chef can say all those ingredients to me and I'd stand there questioning the random unknown /or/ fish sauces in plastic bottles they'd dump in. I've seen people ask for say no shrimp or sesame oil in other dishes but the previous dish cooked in the same pan had it resulting in problems fast, and it's not easy to get to a hospital there. Thanks for the ingredients, I've seen this sandwich about a lot and I want it. We have a cousin to it here from the French influenced bread, except it's chicken fillet meat
Looks way better the the usual reviewed food “Maccas” etc, good on you for giving that business
a go.
Thanks Greg , I drive past this place twice a day , definitely going to try it. I will say Greg sent me !!!!!
make sure you get the chicken Banh Mi, yummoooooooo!

Vietnamese food is the best. Only discovered it about a year ago and now every Sunday I eat Vietnamese. So many good places in Cabramatta
Yes, Cabramatta is great, although Bankstown is my favourite for Vietnamese in Sydney.

I love Vietnamese food it’s so unique due to the French influence like the bread used in the banh mi!
