No doubt about it - GH will lift a Classic trophy one of these years
He missed probably one of the biggest opportunities at lake Ray Robert's in Texas at the 2021 classic. I HATED not seeing hackney in that one. It was right in his wheel house. No shade on cherry he's earned his but man i feel like hackney would of blew the doors off on that flipping bite I can't think of a better angler to put a jig in some flooded trees and bushes then hackney. I truly belive he'd won that one.
Hack doesn't need a trophy to make me a fan. This dude is by far one of my very few favorites. To be honest....probably is my favorite

Keep telling myself, by living in the same state I'll eventually run across Hackney. Been a fan forever not just because of the home team but his attitude and approach to the sport has taught me alot! Thank you Hackney! Go get em!!!

Greg Hackney is HIM. I’m a massive MLF fan but anglers like Hackney keep me engaged with both organizations.
Hackney’s desire and drive to win a Classic reminds me of Earnhardt’s struggle to win the Daytona 500. When it happens it will all be worth it.

I have talked to Greg Hackney a couple times he's a great guy I would love to see him win a Classic. In every sport its the same very few if any remember the 2nd place finishers Jason Cristy is a great guy and a fierce competitor to be so close as he has been and not win is still one hell of an accomplishment, I wonder how many thousands of guys in our sport will never empierce that prestige," just sayin"
