I'd love to, but latin is way more complicated than most european languages (perhaps basque and the celtic languages are more difficult). Also, its really outdated, we'd need hundreds of new words, and there are also different varieties of latin (the song is sung in church latin). As you can see it would bring boatloads of problems

They would probably still be, the idea of united europe is impossible without military force. The roots had spread so far into the core of these lands that almost every country has strong and big amount of nationalism in it. Countries in Europe will remain fighting, unless one side gives up. Poland wants to leave the EU, UK has already left and it seems to serve little purpose during hard times like covid pandemic since every country is by its own. Countries like Serbia have supplies for covid from both East and West, thats what Europe should be, not West, not East, but a cultural and economic border, the old continent, the majestic land.
@@knubbe1320 Imo he's absolutely correct. The Eu benefits noone, look at what's happening in Brussels, nothing but 2nd or 3rd rate "politicians", only caring about their allowances and pensions. If we did that, we would have to replace every single terminology that uses Latin in multiple disciplines. Science and many other disciplines use Latin specifically because of it being a dead language, since 1) its words cannot have connotations and other meanings other than the literal, and 2) it does not give any bias toward a specific culture or country that still exists today

You can clearly tell it's German speakers who are singing by that "Oi-ropa" (Eu-ropa). Still amazing tho. I'm just a bit sad that there was not a more precise version of it with the correct way of saying words.
We don't have a "correct" Latin pronunciation anymore. We know of a few key pronunciation facts, but the majority of Latin pronunciation is lost to history or at least uncertain enough to be debated among scholars. Even Italians or the Vatican/Catholic Church cannot lay claim to "real Latin" as modern Italian is a language descended from Latin and not Latin itself, much has changed over the millennia since Latin was actively spoken and used, and the Latin spoken in the Catholic Church has similarly been affected by regional and temporal changes. As long as you follow the few hard rules of Latin pronunciation we have, you are speaking correct Latin.

@@Free_Russia_in_the_EUdo yall prefer the old flag or the new Free Russia Flag? 🤍💙🤍 The idea is that the evil Red of communism was removed from the flag fully.
@@ArmedSpaghet, personally, I generally support the white-blue-white flag as an anti-war symbol, but still don't support their replacement of the current tricolor in the future. Firstly, there is no official interpretation of the colours of the white-blue-red flag, but even those interpretations that are considered the most popular don't imply either blood or communism in the interpretation of red. And besides, with white-blue-red banners, Russia was just freed from the Bolshevik yoke, it was the main symbol of opposition to the Soviet regime. The tricolor was the flag of the Russian Empire, in the history of which there are many contradictions, but still for that time it was quite a progressive state, which in many ways can be proud of. Then there was the Russian Republic, and if not for the indecision and inconsistency in the actions of the Provisional Government, if not for the might of the Bolsheviks' military force, the Russian Republic would probably have held out (having the same tricolor) and today everything would be different. Secondly, I believe that Putin has usurped our national flag, and we should not give it to him, but still I do not think that his reputation is completely ruined. In addition, the rejection of the current flag in favor of some new one will in some sense even mean, on the contrary, as if the removal of responsibility, like "let's forget all this shit and even change the flag," whereas its abandonment will mean recognition of this huge mistake of their state and the responsibility of all Russians for it, recognition that not by their will, of course, but on their behalf, on behalf of Russia and under its banners, this terrible, bloody war was waged, and this page of history will have to be re-read all the time so that this will never happen again. Changing the flag, it seems to me, will rather mean distancing yourself from this. The third reason is purely a matter of preferences: I just visually like the white-blue-red tricolor more than the white-blue-white one, the latter seems to me more boring, and the tricolor has always seemed so iridescent, bright and harmonious 🇷🇺 The white-blue-red combination always seemed to me to be somehow the most basic, and I liked that we have just such a flag, as if it were the most basic of all the flags of the world :) The new flag is not bad, but still I can't associate it with Russia in any way. This is a matter of habit, perhaps, but nevertheless, I still perceive it as the flag of the liberal opposition, and not as the flag of Russia. Oh, and by the way, red is actually my favorite colour :D But, of course, this doesn't mean that I like Soviet flags - no, everything is fine in moderation, the flag of the USSR is really bloody and I don't like it, but in the white-blue-red tricolor I don't separate the red color from others, I don't pay any special attention specifically to it and I don't associate it with blood or communism, but I perceive it as part of a white-blue-red rainbow of this kind. There is also, by the way, a white-azure-scarlet version of the tricolor used in 1991-1993 (it is just on my avatar), and I also like it (it is also good symbolically, because these are the most glorious, still democratic years of Russia), but rather equally with white-the blue-red version, just the white-blue-red flag are the basic colours, , in addition, you do not need to bother with shades, and the white-azure-scarlet - it's like a more playful version and even more colourful :) However, I like the current aspect ratio of 2:3 more than 1:2, which was the white-azure-scarlet flag of 1991-1993.

The idea is that the evil Red of communism was removed from the flag fully.

I think the song should be in reconstructed proto-indo-european with verses in basque and reconstructed proto-uralic to be as inclusive as possible
Damn, you said pie so cant add any more languages
Yes! Yes! Yes!
Don´t say "Diversity" just as another cathcy phrase we are all already tired of!
Well the song is not long enough for that
@Oritra Kar p.i.e is the common ancestor of the majority of european languages, proto-uralic is the common ancestor of 4 or so of the major languages spoken in europe (sapmi, finnish, estonian and hungarian) and basque is a language isolate in spain and france that likely existed in europe before p.i.e even arrived. i mentioned basque and those 2 blanket languages because latin is only the ancestor to the romance languages (french, spanish, portuguese, italian, romanian etc) but not any other language groups in p.i.e (celtic, germanic, balto-slavic, hellenic etc)
All Europeans used To read and speak Latin And French, i agree that Latin is the language that conquered Europe.
I’m a separatist, but this actually makes me sad that things didn’t work out between us. Sorry friends over the pond.

Because this Europe isn't really united, it only shares economy
