I agree

I like this new format, it's very helpful, because you do talk about trains in this particular video and show how to use public transport cards properly. Thank you! :)
If you’re looking to save some cash, I’m your go-to for the latest and greatest deals around.
And recently it has a discount for railcard to buy tickets, pretty good

Aw thanks so much Kayleigh, that means a lot!
Yeah, I really enjoyed your video guys! Pretty useful, actually!:)
Thanks!
Thank you!
how i dream to travel around UK via trains, and on the buses too, those double decker buses are so legit.
Btw, the two together card is so cute like ahhahaha.
That was perfect, I needed to see this video. Lia I like your backpack (if that's what they call it in the UK). Where did you purchase it?. Thanks for sharing guys.
I am about to go to Britain, thank you, you guys for such a useful video!
I'm really happy I got discounted train tickets! Follow my method and you can save money too.
Another thought for the two of you. In the future please consider doing a demonstration of amenities and an evaluation of train travel on the GWR Overnight Train Service. I know there is a service from London - Penzance. Just a thought.
Thank you for sharing this information. Actually there is discount that you can apply for buying train tickets now
I sat down with my lunch and was like “Yes! , new video is up!!”
Aw yay!!!!
Guys any tips on Britrail Pass? I plan to visit Edinburgh and Scotland highlands from London for three days.
You can decide whether to buy a railcard by looking at the price difference before and after you apply for one. In addition, there are some discounts for those who don't buy a railcard.
More videos like this that would be helpful to visitors would be most welcome. Since the rail and bus lines stopped being so nationalized, things have become pretty confusing for tourists. For instance, how can you save money travelling by bus with all the different companies that exist now?
Take train and buy railcard! Different age has different discount. And there's a discount code too.
My quarantine has been spent searching for different rail fares and I don't know why, it's fun though.
Yay... British trains are my favourite
Very good, info I think that this year I will be moving to London and this tipsare amazing thank you, all your videos have helped me a lot thanks for this tips...
I'm also going to London. Btw we can get a discount on train tickets now❤
how sweet you both are ^^ I love ALL of your videos.
Aw thank you! ❤️
Can you please share train schedules during Xmas week or where I can get it. Visiting London first time 😢
I’m always on the lookout for the best discounts and can share some great savings tips with you.
I went to do additional research and found that buying British railroads at a discount can save a lot of money.
I so love you two for covering the general things that visitors need to know as well as the specifics to a particular area. For instance, after reading British mysteries set in London and its many boroughs, I had the impression that the Isle of Dogs and that area was run down. In one video you were explaining about the regentrification happening in the East End, etc. Very helpful for my mental landscape. Thanls so much for your fun filled facts and straight talk on how to get around! Cheers. : )
Aw thanks so much for that! Glad to know our videos are helpful!
And yeah, London seems to be changing so rapidly that lots of information out there is very out of date! Hopefully we can help keep people up to date! ❤️
Dreaming to go one day to England
Nice job on this one. Really good tips. One thing I'd add is to look up on the National Rail website about "rover tickets" and "ranger tickets" that offer unlimited train travel under specific rules and conditions depending on which one you get.
So for example there's one called the all line rover that gives you either 1 or 2 weeks of continuous unlimited use of the entire British national rail network (except some trains like peak time Virgin Trains). It might seem pricey at face value but if you're going to be going all around Britain for a couple of weeks, then it might be cheaper and way more flexible than dozens of single tickets.
Plus some rovers can have railcard discounts applied to them to save even more money
I agree. Helps you also to avoid mishaps like the one I encountered. See my comments above under the video. Was put on the wrong train. Returned back to where I started. Then had to repurchase all over, again --out of pocket. No refunds were given.
@@MattNavTure! Use these discount can save a lot😂 of money
And use railcard! Different age has different discount. And there's a discount code too.
I LOVE trains. Best way to get around.
Super speedy!
Yes! And use railcard! Different age has different discount. And there's a discount code too.
I'm moving to London next week. What would you recommend?
Hi guys thanks for the video
Hi guys. You re great couple.I am about to visit London in december for the first time.I will have accomodation in Holborn. Can you tell me what is the best transportation from Holborn(actually I ll be close to Pearson Vue centre in Holborn)to best attractions such as Trafalgar square or B.palace? And is it expensive to eat in restaurants?
My daughter and I are coming to London in June! First time visiting! We are so excited, but we are planning it ourselves. Can you make a video about the Oyster cards and how those work? Can they be used on trains and buses? What about Uber? We've never used Uber! On this trip we will be checking off lots of bucket list items!
Really helpful! Could you do this for buses and the Tube as well? We have zero publication transportation, so I'm trying to learn as much as I can before visiting. :)
That's a good idea, will add it to our list
Platform 9 at kings Cross, that a 387 to kings lynn. Could have driven it as my route. Although you ovb just did a photo shout as you got off at platform 10 at kings cross
Ohh guys, I love you 🤟🏽. Your recommendations are actually helpful apart from the fact that I’m living in Russia but it’s okay 😂🤩

nice tips! Thanks for sharing! How about trainpal railcard?❤
That’s great app. There’re a lot of discounts
Great video! My partner and I had trouble with finding space for our large luggage on the train while we were travelling around the southern UK. Is there space for larger luggage at one end of a train car, and is it safe to leave it there? We ended up shoving our luggage into the seat beside and it definitely wasn't ideal, but there wasn't anyone to ask.
It depends on the train company. For example South Western Railways don't have space for large luggage annoyingly but Great First Western, or Southern Rail do! So it really depends.
Answer: travel light and small.
I like the British accents whey the speak. 😁👍
Nice tips Bro and Sista! And I like the England trains too. Keep it in well progressing. 🙂
I panicked a bit at my stop station, Gloucester from London on a trip when I took national rails for the first time cos I didn't know how to open the door. I thought it would automatically open
haha, aw! Yeah it's different to the Tube! You have to press the button!
TheRenaissanceman65
yes I checked about British national rail after taking the train.
I'm from Japan and it was my first trip abroad, England.
I actually needed to turn the handle but didn't know so I was looking for a button or something which I could open the door by. I didn't want to miss my station cos I'd heard that meant I'd get a penalty. Someone helped me in the end. It's a good memory now.
TheRenaissanceman65 I see! Maybe I took one of the right ways, didn't I? I was also surprised that arrival platform is decided about 10 or 15 mins before a train arrives! I was thinking that taking national rail was as easy as underground
Очень позитивное, а главное политическое видео!
Your lucky to have her pal shes sweet and them seats on the class 387 for Great northern are so uncomfortable.
I like short videos. Tnx.
Thank you for the infos. And my friend told me that there’s a 5 %off discount for train.
Funny story: Too bad you two were probably in grade school when I last visited the UK. When I was there almost 20 years ago I was supposed to go and meet some friends of friends in Teddington. I think I was staying someplace close to Regent's Park. The hotel gave me directions how to take the Tube from the hotel's area over to Victoria Station. Obviously, not knowing where I am going or what train to take I ask the clerk at the ticket counter at Victoria Station which way to go. A kind and 'knowledgeable' secondary staffperson directed me which train-track to go to. So, I did. After about an hour of travel I realized I was going no where near Teddington but was in fact headed stratight to Liverpool, instead.
Needless, to say I had to get off the train. Go to the opposite side and reverse my way back to Victoria Station. The attendant on the train must have radioed back into Victoria that I would be returning because when I returned and got off the train; the same 'knowledgeable' attendent that 'helped' me in the first place to take the wrong train was dutifully waiting for me by the tracks as I exited. The person stood there with a very sheepish grin on their face!!
Only drawback was that I could not get a refund for being put on the wrong train. :(.
If coming early before a cruise is it better or cheaper to get a 6 month card? Do you have link to the places you mentioned about buying passes?
Do you still have the six-month card? I think I only bought the one-year one, but the platform has a discount, so the price is not bad.
Do you have any tips for taking bicycles on trains ?
can u make a video on how to actually catch a train? like how to know which train/side to get on..im taking a train by myself soon and im SO confused 🤣
Me too 😭It looks so complicated
Would you guys ever consider making a video on your favorite travel gear for men and women, since you both travel a lot 💜 I noticed Lia’s bag and it was very cute!
We will add it to our list! Thanks Tori!
Being British: Joel & Lia looking forward too it!!
i thought the trains in the UK were above and beyond any others i used in Europe. the chunnel train is the one i remember specifically, but it's very efficient and clean, or at least it was then.
Yeah they tend to be quite good. But there are still issues with certain train operators!
Thank you for sharing this information.British train tickets are becoming more expensive these days, Luckily I found a 5 percent discount.
Thank you for your recommendation! I also used this app before, it feels like a good deal!!! Please try it ~
same, I have found the discount on trainpal.
When I was in England about 15 years ago, there were lots of different companies operating trains on the British Rail system. Is that still a thing? Here in the US, it's basically just Amtrak.
Thanks!
Most Americans don’t realize that public transportation is far better than renting a car. They think rail travel in UK is same as in US.
Big difference is frequency of train departures! Uk trains leave every few minutes. In the US it might only be Fridays at 5:00 am!
as in
Yeah… that’s why I often choose rail travel🙂 if u use platform’s discount, the price will be affordable🤣
Hi there! I would like to go to Liverpool from London. What train u suggest i take? Thank u!
I feel that all the railways in the UK are similar. It mainly depends on the time and price. Whether you can use discounts is more important. For example, there was a promotion on trainpal recently, so I chose to use it to buy tickets.
lol their on my local Great Northern class 387s XD
rip 387s "replaced by desiro city D;"
one question i have is, is there any region in England you haven't been? (since everything is so conveniently connected)
Yeah lots of places! Too many to count! We need to explore more!
What is the “Joel & Lia welcome pack” in the description?
It's just a two page document with FAQs, a short bio about us and some of our fave videos.
Dang you guys are cool. I've never even been on a train granted I am from the U.S.
Ah thanks Andrew! Do you drive/fly more than take the train then?
Lia, why do people with natural curls want to straighten their hair? It’s wonderful to have curls!
Thx for this great sharing! It really helps a lot! I also found another uk train tip! For tourist and person who live here, the travel fee is really expensive… I found an app that has discount on every journey within eu and uk and I really like to share the discount code with u if u need it!! I hope this is helpful for other people traveled on budget~ Thank u again for everything u shared!!
How trustworthy is raileasy? I’m looking for train tickets from London to York, it’s showing me two different prices, one for £19 and the other one for £137, there is a huge price difference, the website doesn’t tell you the train companies or where are you changing trains or anything else besides the price and the time. It seems dubious to me
Very useful, thanks for sharing ❤❤ BTW I found an even bigger 5% discount😂 Save a lot🤩lol
I miss u both
I'm an Ex Staff with Former British Rail now National Rail , I understand if you buy a direct ticket from SOU to PAD can be Lil extra to your pocket on STANDARD DAY Return ticket but you ought to be careful if you buy two separate tickets coz, not all trains travel via the the same stations on CHEAP DAY Return ticket , plus it can be way longer journey unless if it's an emergency or peak hours etc .Any help would love to pass on that information ..I'm still can't away with my roots being a ex -staff .. Regards
I think this video is quite detailed. It would be better if it introduces some discounts! I am tired of looking for them myself every time.
My friend told me about the 5% discount on trainpal.
I'm getting a train from Andover to Milton Keynes and I get off in London , I'm scared of being kidnapped can anyone help me
The problem with the trains in England is most of them are very worn out and old and it is so expensive.
One day i when i wana get in in this train, i was in Temple mid - Bristol, somebody resisted me, was a white men. He said this is for rich men eg business men please platform number 11 if you you will be going to Cardiff city. Joel Mi nimekuiga style zako za kuongea, i copy your style and i speak well anyway. Oh my God I had a very good break-fast.

Was this a low key sponsored vid? If so, I wish everyone was like you guys when it came to adverts
haha, no not at all! Wish it was!
What’s the cheapest train ?
I know TrainPal has a lot of discounts,u can search for the cheapest train directly on it.😊
First tip is comparing price by yourself😂 I will introduce u TRAINPAL for discount
Wow cool tips. On my first trip to the UK (2004) I used nothing but trains (Glasgow, Edinburg, Manchester, and Brussels thru the channel tunnel and then on to Germany) and the tube. My second trip (2016) busses (so I could shoot thru the window) and I rented a car, which I drove up west coast to Skye stopping everywhere in between (a very interesting drive… set your GPS nav. to "avoid motorways") and down the east coast. In So. Cal the trains a great way to avoid traffic and idiots, but they are not very fast, a trip to see my family just north of Santa Barbara from LA takes nearly as long as my London to Glasgow trip in 2004, the view of the sun setting over the pacific are spectacular though.
Wow that's crazy! A trip across one state is as long as our entire country! haha!
virgin trains is better imo
i cant hear u
the place is too noisy around u
That's London baby
oh okay.
i meant the moment when you were in the train.
anyway thanks for the reply.
Yuck, Popchips. They're gummy and they get stuck in my teeth. Though, that dip looked pretty good.
Plugging hair straighteners into the train's power inverter is an absolutely stupid thing to do. Appliances with heating elements can draw thousands of watts, whereas a laptop draws less than 40 watts, and phone/tablet/iPod/gaming handheld chargers etc even less.
The car is a victim of its on success due to congestion making trains the more convenient means of travel.
I'm sorry to tell you guys that the sound of the video is really bad, you can hardly make out the words owing to the ambient sound. Could you make another video on the same topic without so much noisr, please? Cheers...
Sorry Ricardo, it was our first proper vlog. Will have a look into sound!
It’s hard to hear you with all the background noise please speak louder

I am also British but obvioulsly had a better English teacher than you.
I’d highly recommend staying away from London 🤣 good video though guys
We have nothing like this in USA
Wut? Yes, we do. Maybe not where you live in the US...
You cute people
Like you actually need tips on how to get on a train. You pay & then get on the freaking train, only the British need help with such things 😅
Remember to "mind the gap"!!!
That's probably the most important tip!!
I thought stand on right, walk on left of the escalator was the most important
Al F. Only in London, nobody anywhere else really cares
Brilliant time to upload this when my train was cancelled due to an unexploded bomb from WW2. Ahhhh... Thank you Germans.
Ahhhh crazy!!!
Farewell Virgin trains
