@@deephack IIRC the realistic TDC check box was implemented about 3 years ago when they released the IR MAVs. Since then they added the SLAMs and the A/G Radar. I'm fairly certain that the unrealistic TDC option doesn't work for them, and probably the Walleye too.
hey new to dcs your tutorials have been so helpful yours are so easily understandable i my first aircraft is the f18 and your vids have been so helpful could u do one on tacan nav etc were it shows u navigating keep up the great work
Not up to your usual standard.. a tutorial that gets a fairly critical bit of info wrong and just glosses over it, come on dude. Seaniam's comment is spot on.
I still need to look into this as I have the special option for realistic TDC turned off which makes the Maverick slew work without holding down the TDC but I have noticed that this behavior is not consistent across the module. My throttle physically cannot have the TDC held down and still slew so I would need to bind an extra control or add a TDC hold macro.
The sudden movement of the slam camera is a problem. It happens for me everytime I launch a slam. It does it without me doing anything but watching. It didn't happen when it first came out. I think it is a bug.
I think it was whenn he inputted the co-ordinates and he inputted 00 as both decimals thats why he did not hit target, but I am still also unsue why the missile did not track to the visual assigend target
This is several times now in several of your videos where something goes wrong (your fault or not) and you just blow off the error/mistake and continue on. Why would you release videos with mistakes? People watch these videos to learn how these systems work and you seem to not give a damn. I'm not mad, but come on. That's just lazy. Please don't release videos with mistakes. Edit: for example, you incorrectly launched one of the harpoons in your harpoon video and just said ohh well and you get the idea...
This has always been a conscious decision for my videos. I try not to edit and I leave in mistakes as some of them are common or easy to make. I feel there is value in seeing mistakes alongside the correct method.
You need to hold tdc depress while slewing the camera. when you let go of tdc depress the missile will turn to where the camera is pointing
Even with realistic TDC off? I need to investigate this a bit.

Hi Deepak, did you ever figure out what causes the missile to not track? Was it anything related to changing the terminal parameters?
