You are correct you are not an expert. Sorry, but this is a bad recipe. 1st off the point of lecithin is to increase the bioavailability of the thc/cbd. What that does is allows your body to absorb more of the thc/cbd so you get more of the an effect. Also you're using poor gelatin, you should use a gelatin that's a 250 bloom not that cheap shit. As well you should use citric acid it will make your gummies have a longer shelf life. Keif may be the worst form to use. Rosin works so much better. It just melts into your mix. You are correct oil based material is a bad idea on multiple levels. Your other video is correct in saying it not hard, but your recipe is lazy. I will put my gummies up against yours any day. I use jello mix, gelatin (250 bloom), sunflower lecithin powder, koolaid (same flavor as jello), citric acid, and rosin. Use a silicone measuring cup much easier to get all your gummy mix no waste.

6oz jello I used cherry
1oz unflavored gelatin I use a 250 bloom from Amazon you can get Knox in the store normally.
1-2g's rosin or 1/4-1/2 cup canna infused coconut oil both decarbed
1/2 - 2/3 cold water/juice I used cherry koolaid
1-3 tbsp vegetable glycerin if using rosin (optional) I don't use anymore
1/2 tsp citric acid
1/2 tsp lecithin (optional but highly recommended)
1/4 cup corn syrup I use light
Mix everything, but rosin or coconut oil and let it sit for at least 15 minutes that's called blooming. After you let it bloom put on stove low to medium don't let it boil. I use nuwave convection cooktop on 130°-140°f. Stir slowly and keep stirring, if you stir to fast you will create air bubbles. Add rosin, or oil and mix until incorporated. Pour into molds let sit for 10-20 mins then I throw them in freezer for about 1hr. Done pop them out into a container with a lid. Leave in refrigerator with lid off. This removes water grom the gummies. The less water the longer they will last. Less water the less likely it will go moldy. After 3 days I check for softness. Once they're at the softness you like you can seal the lid. I leave mine in my refrigerator afterwards. I've had gummies last around 1yr old and still good, but they don't usually last that long lol. You can freeze them too. Enjoy.

Get yourself a silicone measuring cup. After you pour out all you can get, the leftovers peel right out. You don't lose as much of you gummy mix. Still have thc in it lol.
@Matt R no problem it's a solid recipe. Don't make gummy bear way to small pain in the ass popping out of molds. Also need to eat more because they're smaller. I got weed leaf molds off ebay. Each gummy is 8-9g's I make batches with 2g's rosin and I eat 3 gummies. This is so I know how much to eat in weight, so when low I can eat scrap peices. I've eat to much many a times, and it's rough lol.

Needs to be at least 40% alcohol(vodka) but 151 grain is best. I use 190 grain for mushroom tincure only.

Yes kief is composed of the trichomes a.k.a. "pollen" of the cannabis plant. When flowers are dried, the trichomes are brittle and easier to collect.

@@FreedomFishing trichomes are not pollen! Pollen only comes from a male plant. Female plants make trichomes to collect the pollen from the males to make seeds.
Suggestion edit video talk less and softly video should be no more than 5 minutes.

can i just decarb the flower? and mix that with the sunflower lecithin? and cook it together to add to the gummies or does it have to be keef? if i can use the flower... how much flower and how much lecithin? and how much of that do i add to your gummy recipe? sorry if there are too many questions.

While alcohol tincture is not good for you eating flower might upset your GI. It'll also make the gummy gritty, much more so than keif.
I too have followed many recipes, I like your clear, no nonsense, approach. The method I've been using doesn't measure the alcohol, I simply add enough to cover the weed, ground and decarbed, in a mason jar. My method has inherit inconsistencies.

Can you use sugar free jello?
boiling alcohol on a stove is a way bad idea, i reduce alcohol extracts on a large glass platter at room temp (in a well ventilated area or you may wind up going boom) if i am in a hurry i use a fan on low blowing across the platter, the safer way!
it's not a bad idea, that's your opinion. Heat all ingredients till well blended, turn off heat, remove vessel from heat source, add alcohol extract. Return vessel to heat source on lowest heat and stir frequently for a few minutes. If it was 151 grain alcohol it'll evaporate in a few minutes, 190 even faster. If it's safety that's a major concern keep a towel handy to throw on the flames. Otherwise, just be mindful.
I don't see any mention of a fat in this recipe to allow absorption of THC or CBD.
Vegetable Glycerin does the job.. I can't speak for Lecithin.
Lecithin is the preferred product to improve absorption.
How would you infuse with distillate?
Mix it with coconut oil and heat it up to 180 degrees F for 1-2 hrs
I have butter that I have already infused can I use that to make the gummy‘s?

Idk about butter but I use cannabis coconut oil fine with sunflower lecithin. He's trying to sell his kief apparently.

No, won't be a gummy, it'll be koolaid. You need the gelatin to firm it up and make it chewy.

teaching is good, but trying very hard to push "His preferred" way of making gummies, tincture is not that bad neither is the smell when cooking down.
This video should be titled "how inbred hillbilly's make edible's" these are by far the best recipes for making a dirty, poor quality and poor tasting product
