oh that gave me CHILLS~! i grew up watching this & i always thought that ATWT had the best & most beautiful intro. i hated when they changed it. that took me back to my childhood! thank you!
OMG this brings back memories of a simpler time full of youth. Coming home from achool and watching ATWT on the VCR which mom recorded every day but I could never wait for her to get home to find out what was happening with Lucinda and Lily. I LOVE all the themes of ATWT but this one is special.
This theme music brought me to a happy place. I used to stay with my grandparents throughout the week. My grandfather was failing in health as I got older (around 4 y.o.). He used to sit in his recliner in the den at the house and I would sit on his lap. We would watch these shows together as my grandmother was slaving over a hot stove. I am 25 now, and they are both gone now, but when I hear this, it brought me back to better and worry free days. Thanks again for putting up this theme.
This brings back memories. My Grandmother used to watch this all the time. When we would go to Grandma's house, my mom used to refer to this as Grandma's "crummy story," and Grandma used to agree. The conversation usually went something like this a few minutes before ATWT came on. Mom: "Are you going to watch your crummy story?" Grandma: "Yes, I'll watch my crummy story. Ach! It gets crummier and crummier.!" Then she'd turn on the TV and watch it. I would always wonder why my Grandma kept watching it if it was so crummy.😄
I like it but my personal favorite will always be the 93 to 99 version. I think it's lovely with the music and the different seasons appearing in the letters.
Cool video. Who was the chick @ the beginning? Love the theme. The current theme sucks. This theme is a classic. There should be a modern day updated version of The World Turns on And On as the current theme.
Yes, and they will never see those ratings again that ATWT and GL delivered year after year after year. These cheap replacement shows are getting nowhere close the numbers (especially in the women 18-49 key demographic) ATWT and GL were having only 1 or 2 years before getting cancelled! With better writing (!) and smart investments, ATWT and GL could be on a big upward trend again, just like the four soaps that are still on air.

I just love how you have all the different ATWT intros come spinning in. I loved this soap opera! ATWT should still be on the air.
I like this theme it reminds me of my teenage years and watching my favorite soap opera.

What happened to As The World Turns is just another example of the networks not being able to leave well enough alone.
