I made mistakes with a gambling and lifestyle addiction. I served 3 1/2 years. Physically and mentally the worst place imaginable. But now, 10 years after, I’m thankful for it. Had I not been stopped, I have no doubt I would have continued to worse and worse things.

They lock people up for a long ass time in the US. I found out in a lot of European countries sometimes people don't get life in prison for murder. In the US people get life for MANSLAUGHTER sometimes lmao

Thank you for a very thoughtful insight in your life. It’s very fascinating to know what goes on inside someone head and what emotions they have, when they are making bad decisions. It makes you more human, when you know the thoughts behind your actions.

Hey Jesse. Don't feel bad. I was in my 30s before I learned to listen to that voice. Nobody ever told me that voice was important. Made s lot of stupid mistakes, but that is what youth is for. I hope you find out if they were reaching for a gun or not, But at the end of the day, nobody died that day. Maybe they ask learned some life lessons like you did. I hope you find peace.

I didn't know what his crime was . I assumed selling drugs. I never would've imagined he shot two people. He appears to be very intelligent. He paid his dues. Now he's helping other people. Pretty amazing. ❤

The thing is, at the time, you didn’t know any better. Now you do, and you’re trying to improve yourself and others through your words and actions. That’s the epitome of learning from your mistakes. Thank you for all your videos, they’re keeping me on the beaten path, and I hope you keep doing all the good work you do. 💕

He knew better... 18 is a full adult.. hell 4 yr olds know not to steal.... if 18 yr olds didn't know better we'd all be in prison for robbery... I'm assuming you didn't rob anyone at 18... so why didn't you? If we dont know better at 18 we would all do it... this man nearly killed 2 ppl to get drug money... he's 100% at fault and 100% knew better

Great that you are listening to your gut now. I didn't and it may have ended up shortening my life, significantly. My father, who is of poor health may end up outliving me as the stress ended up damaging my heart.

I hope you don’t feel compelled to keep explaining your crime ad infinitum. Keep the link to this video handy for those who are late to the game or continue to ask your story. While remembering where you've been and giving thanks for where and who you are now is good, i hope you do not always feel you need to explain yourself to strangers. I'm feeling frustrated for you in this moment.

Of course, people are going to ask questions. He is putting himself out there as a convicted felon, who has changed his.life. He is trying to grow a RUclips channel, for income, views, and generally explaining who he is and what he did. People can and will ask questions. It's part of playing the RUclips game.

The two people you shot could harmed someone too driving the way they were. They're lucky they survived.

Serious question: What do you think would have been an reasonable sentence for your crimes?
Discount the fact that others who commit completed murder ,as opposed to the fact that your crimes were only attempted murder, frequently got ( and still get) lesser sentences.
Discount the fact that the Criminal Justice system is a mess. (It is... It is unfair and people are railroaded and mistreated by it all the time.)
Discount the fact that you were drug addicted.
Discount the fact that it was either dumb luck or Divine Intervention that the 2 people you tried to murder survived.
Don't discount the fact that literally hours before shooting 2 people, you basically committed a home invasion and terrorized the person there.
Really curious. What do you think what sentence you should have received.
    Full disclosure:
    I am a former Victim's Advocate.
I am a survivor of a violent crime.

I don’t think that arbitrary sentences serve anyone. I think the sentence should be to rehabilitate and someone should be released once they show the most important thing - that they will not harm anyone else and will instead contribute and give.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Shame we can't have it before the event😂
You did what you did can't change it.
Not sure anyone on drugs can really be accountable for their actions as they wouldn't do those things if they were clean.
Justice must be seen to be done.
Knowing no matter how many years behind bars will change the damage you caused to those peoples mental stability .
But you did the crime and did the time.
    End of.
So you can forgive yourself now and just be a better person.

Horror, goosebumps, very sad, we must abolish our cruel, racist and xenophobic justice system and the torture centers, misnamed "prisons"

Abolish? No, anarchist, thats a horrible idea. Is prison really xenophobic? Is prison really sending whites & blacks just for being so? No? Some 'people' in prison deserve torture, others deserve freedom, justice system needs SERIOUS reform.

I disagree with your guilt for the shooting, from the sounds of it they deserved it and didnt deserve to live. The robbery tho, yeahh...jaja, its all over now tho 👍🏽
