Great cards Rick! Good to learn about the American Caramel Co. Hard to choose which of the Ruth cards are better having never even touched one before. Hope that SGC stays as they are for at least a while longer.
Both are beautiful cards Rick! I think I actually favor the zoomed out shot of the 1922 card. The 1927 card reminds me of when Topps used the same picture for guys in the 60s but zoomed in tighter. (Think Mays 66 vs 69)
Great cards Rick! The McGraw and Matty are great, I appreciated your background on the set. The Ruth's are 🔥. Always enjoy taking a class from professor Rick! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Rick. I'm a SGC guy also, because of their consistency and basically their overall customer service. Hopefully nothing changes. Those are awesome cards, thanks for sharing.
Very small chance for the better. Always nice to hear your thoughts and of course seeing some fantastic Giants cards Rick! Both of those Ruth cards are beauties. I prefer the 1927 with the nice closeup. Take care and go Giants 👊⚾
Congrats on the awesome addition, Rick. They’re both beauties but to pick one I’d go with the ‘27. I like the color of the card stock, looks more vintage than the ‘22 and it’s a nice up close look of the Babe. Plus it was an iconic year for him and the Yankees. Thanks for the history lesson
I am working on putting together the E 95 Philadelphia caramel set right now. Just got past the halfway point by the way, the larger Ruth picture looks better. A bigger image is always better. Thanks for sharing.
Amazing Ruth montage cards Rick! I didn’t even know about the 1927 issue, but I agree with you - it’s the better looking card 👍 Thanks for sharing sir!
Super Ruth cards, but I like the second one better because of the larger picture of the Babe. // By the way, sweet Alexander card. // Thanks for the display and the card history Rick.
Thanks Theo! Love your content. I can’t believe you let Mike and Chris, those old farts beat you. Damn guys need to count the oddball Clemente cards you have.
@@vintageoddballcards6103 they cheated!!! Haha! yeah I agree Rick, oddball is where the fun is at! And scarcity. I really want to do a Willie mays pre recorded show with you. Get my number from bluejacket, Mangini or Don if you’re fine with it and we can talk.
Awesome cards as always my friend! Thanks for the info and sharing. I'm with you the second one is a bit better stands out more imo. Imagine your ruth collection combined with Josh and Andrew's.... 🤯
Great video! These food issues from the York, Lancaster area in PA. are very interesting to me. I can see collecting more of them in the future! Thanks for sharing your cards and especially your knowledge!
Thanks Rick, I always enjoy the history lessons. I like the ‘27 myself. I’ve been chasing a few of these at auctions but they are quickly becoming price prohibitive for me.
You’re telling me! These cards have set me back big time. I guess it helps when my son is out of the house and I have a few bucks to spend. If you’re going to the National look for me sitting in the corner sucking my thumb watching everybody buying. I have 5 months to check under the bed and couch for money
@@vintageoddballcards6103 I might see you there. I’m about 200 miles from Cleveland to the Southwest so it’s a manageable trip. It will be my first if I go.
I’m obviously an SGC fan boy myself haha, but I hope long term this is will be a positive for the hobby. I personally think SGC is here to stay and truly operate independently. Great cards, love the Ruth’s
Hi Rick, I have never sent in a card to be graded. But I do like to buy graded cards. Only use grading companies have for me now is to prove it is not a counterfeit cards. But that will change when I decide to sell some cards. I like the looks of the SCG slab, but this “merger?” Means nothing to me right now. Your first graded card was a McGraw? My first tobacco card purchase was the T206 McGraw hand at hip card.
Beautiful cards Rick! Hoping for the best with SGC, it's all wait and see.
Yep I agree! They would be smart to keep the two grading companies separate
Great educational video Rick! Your knowledge shines so well with each card you showcase! I look forward to catching up with you again in July.
Can’t wait for the National. I really need to start saving. Thanks!
I love those caramel issues. National caramel too.
Great cards Rick!!! Thanks for the info as well! Love it!
Thanks! I smile every time I look at those Ruth cards. Hope you have a great day!
Beautiful cards Rick. I think the SGC 1 looks better than the SGC 2.5. Thanks for sharing your wisdom as always Rick!!
Smart people agree alike. Lol

Thanks Ken! I don’t always comment but I’m always watching your videos.
@@vintageoddballcards6103, thanks Rick I appreciate it, since I show a lot of hockey. Are you a Sharks fan?
Love the Ruth’s! Id be proud to own either one but I do like the closeup image of the 27 a little more.
Hey Jim! We’re only 5 months away from the National I’m starting the countdown. Lol
Wooohoooo! Can’t wait! 😁
Those Carmel cards are beautiful and the Babe Ruth forget about it. Outstanding. Fun video. Take care.
Thanks! I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment.
That McGraw is super cool. Really enjoyed hearing about this company and these cards, Rick! Those Ruths 🤩 Okay, we’ll get off your lawn now 😆
Thanks! I love the Ruth bat card you showed the other night. I have one myself. Fun to own a piece of history
All of those cards are incredible and both of those Ruth’s are just phenomenal. 👊🏻⚾️
Thanks David! Any Ruth card is a good Ruth card. I’m lucky to own them

Dang Rick! Amazing! Love your collection and seeing these items. Thanks man!!
If I had Rick’s cards Is throw mine out.
Don’t listen to John. Lol He’s full of crap
LoL I’d throw my entire collection out for a minute fraction of either of your collections!!!
Beautiful cards, thanks for sharing.
Thanks Robert! I hope your auction went well for you.
Great stuff, Rick! Thank you for the education, opinions, and those great Ruth cards.

I really hope nothing changes. Collectors would be stupid to combine SGC with PSA don’t ruin a good thing

Love the e95 cards. Those things are paper thin. I have a couple including the Cobb look forward to seeing the cards you pickup
Amazing Ruth montage cards Rick! I didn’t even know about the 1927 issue, but I agree with you - it’s the better looking card 👍

Thanks!
Grading is a scam. Where have I heard that before?

My first graded SGC was the Grover and a Walter Johnson. But like you I really don’t grade cards anymore. I won’t buy an expensive card raw.
Get off my lawn with those graded cards Rick 🤪
lol
Thanks, Rick! Quick question: do u know the protocol for when SGC puts cards in a penny sleave?
Sorry I don’t! But I would email SGC your question.
No worries! When i find out, i'll holla back atcha... @@vintageoddballcards6103
