This plant can live in shaded area but it likes to live in full sun or direct sunlight. Even if your plant has already dried but its rhyzomes might be ok. And it has a chance to grow back.
@@minoakawhitlock3568 water when dry maam. Because we have different climate and if we have well drained soil that dries the soil quickly. It also affect on how manny times we should water our plants. So that is why i recommend to water your plant when it is dry.
If the stem is already old and long it cannot support its weight that is why it bends.you have to trim or cut the stem.dont worry it will grow or regenerate a new stem.

Thank you! I have a question. I had to leave on an emergency for a full month. I had a horsetail in a pot. I had my cousin come water my plants. When I got back all the horsetails in my pots were dried up. The reeds just fell right off. But the pot is super wet. Plus cold weather came and it didn’t get much sun. Will it still come back to life? Does horsetail dry up when it gets cold? I think it might just be completely dead. I’m not sure 🙈🤦🏽♀️ 😢😢
My advice to you madam is get your pot as much sunlight as posible,then water it once a week.even the stem is dead or dry but theres a posibility the roots might be ok.and it is posible that your horsetail plant might recover.

Yes they can live under water for a long time.

2 times a week will do in trophical country that rains so much. In dry country we need to water more or more than twice a wewk.
