Hi and thanks for this Video. I try to get 2 years service from bag filters and only change them when the pressure drop is at the max level. Replacing or washing primary filters regularly is key to this. Regarding power savings when filters are dirty.....there really aren't any. A direct-on-line fan motor (no vsd) runs at a fixed rpm whether the filter is dirty or clean. There is a dP formulae to calculate the extra energy used when the filter is dirty, it is tiny. The real problem is reduced airflow.
So, this is for commercial buildings I'm guessing, because 2" thick filters aren't particularly common in homes and I've never seen that other type of filter before.

isn't necessary to use a pre filter before the primary so it can catch the big particles in order to prolong the primary filter life? Thank you in Advance.

depends on the application and how dirty the incoming air will be as well as how expensive the filters are.
