Lol that reporter is slick. You know damn well that he was low key calling them punks.
+Nun Ya no i disagree with you. Because if they were real punks. They would of beat the interviewers ass well they were on camera and beat the camera man ass too. Then they Probably would of stole the camera and been like fuck yeah we got the camera we just beat the reporter and camera mans ass ! foo we in the hood with they muh fucken camera about too go do a drive by on some muh fuckas. Now if they were to of done that, then you could say they be some real punks. These are just some everyday people like you and me that just dont have it as good as others. I dont know where you exactly come from but if your from hood then you know that these individuals just want their voices heard for the good. Instead of just being judged and thinking all they want to do is hurt steal and kill. Not all gangbangers are pure destructive and self destructive.
Modern Benoni yes.... Him........lol
+Slick Wit it When did I say they were "real punks". Learn to read dude. I didn't say anything that you said I did. I said the REPORTER was trying to be slick by basically calling them punks with his question. Maybe I was wrong about THAT but your whole comment made no sense since I did not say anything about them.
he spoke fact
SLICK WIT IT We almost got the same name, and damn well the same opinion.
Reporter got some balls. He’s low key calling them punks
He damn sure was. I caught that
They are fucking pussies at least these gang bangers didn’t rap.
Back then us older folks had respect for our elders unlike you younger ones.
He would get ran off the block in 2022.

This interview took place in '87, and 22 years later the tragic deaths continue. Spoken like a prophet.
Same as the war the United States is fighting so oh well
Now 35 years
80s were no joke
That's crip sag at the end of the video...he just did a great interview on Kev Mac videos 💯💯💯💯
New that was crip sag
I thought that was unCle Sag , Ima send him this video , I just spoke with him on the phone a few days ago
Sag is the man! it’s crazy to think his dad was a cop! Lol
Shout to OG Sag. He's still around doing his thing.
"Instead of dipping into my business, he's got to better his own life." That's wisdom. It's easy to point the finger at everyone else but yourself
Scary to think that most of them are probably dead
andres franco maybe 40 to 50 percent of people have passed on due to gang violence.
Some of them are still alive but they are old now probably just schooling the youngsters
andres franco not scarey, sad...
2 of em i recognize are still alive
Compton is probably better off.
When he said ain't nobody over here afraid of dying, I would've been like hold up now👀😂😂😂
Problem with young men is they have an extreme amount of energy and when it isn't used for good, its gonna be used for bad. An idle mind truly is the devils workshop

Nothing but triple OGs in this video

that mexican pete in the video? he a legend from sbcc
Yup, every hood was hell at that time. I'm from NY, and the late 80's, early 90's were terrible times in the Projects here
Crack changed everything. So much money on the streets the game got heavier
At least back then u can see the respect the gang members give the TV ppl. If interview ed now they'd be shouting, swearing & waving guns in the cameras face and telling the world the various things they'll do if anyone comes to their neighborhood. JUST GOOD JOB THE AREAS DONT DEPEND ON TOURISM LOL
TheDon101277 They're even quieter on camera now
Back then they were intelligent.. But nowadays when "gangsters" are interviewed they mumble and repeat the same damn words..
TheDon101277 back then they didn’t know they were being exploited
💯
Sad. I'm so sorry, my brothers. 😞 😞
Is that Crip sag at the end of the video?
Yes
Yup that's big homie Sag
Perhaps. Perhaps we can say that NOW, but when Compton was at its worst, there was nothing more fulfilling than having outsiders know that you were from Compton.
It filled you with pride, just being from a place. The danger. The reputation. The automatic respect. Better than being a mediocre city with nothing worth noting, is to be from the baddest city in the motherfuckin country. Known the world over. Those were good times. And the atmosphere..? Whoo! Refreshingly tense, made you feel alive.
Og too pretty Kenny said that to he started pocket town vrips
It's still kinda that way kinda

is that pete from santana ...i heard he was the only hispanic from that set in that time
Nah that's juju
Curty Langston oh yeah ... Its a trip seeing ese banging crips or blooda but its all good if they down for the set its all good
Jesus Frias yup, don't see many of that now but these blood and crip sets still don't discriminate. Numbers mean more than anything.
Pete wasn't the only Hispanic or the 1st, Juju was the first Hispanic from Santana. Pete was the most known and probably respected because he was quiet but he was a straight killer too.
+David Berman well said
It looks like nothing has changed
Well considering compton is now like 30% black and 65% Hispanic, technically things have changed
Daaauumm girr,nice avi
its better now
lol it's. A lot better now. This is not 1992. It's like it was before but because of the reputation the city had for so long it's like that image of Compton is stamped into everyone's brains. Places like Detroit and Chicago or in a turmoil that needs to be looked into way more than Compton
Mike Lavishton south central is more dangerous
Pac was right when he said " THE SHIT DON'T STOP" and I think it never gon' stop!

LA in the 80s and early 90s was a living hell shit was fucking bad bad bad that it was sad
thank u . a real man
Wow OG CRIP SAG came a long way
Where was OG Turtle in this?
The crazy thing is these older interviews back in the early nineties late eighties were the realest generation of gangmembers in the game period! Back then if you had a problem with someone you'd throw hands, and after that you'd shake hands like a man unless someone was killed than thats a whole nother level of shit we can elaborate in the future. But now a days kids ages 12 to 16 running up on blocks dumping mags into crowds regardless if there are kids or elders is crazy no respect for the game
The people from the outside looking in don't understand so the start to hate and fear it. These ogs did the bad so the next generation can do the good. Look at la now, thanks to the ogs it's nothing close to bad in the 90s and 80s and early 2000s. I can't speak for the rest of the us because no other hoods are like cali hoods.
PeaceShaeed ishmael exactly.and idk what they spealing bout theres still innocent shootings everyday and gang retaliations in los angeles amd ie i mean everywhere you go.the cycle restores once they lose a parent the next generation is up again.omly way to slow it down is to help give out more jobs and community activities
PeaceShaeed ishmael
Nah thank gang injunctions. These dudes wasted their lives
Julio Santana Gang injunctions were implemented because of dudes like them. It was so bad in the 80s and 90s the government had to do something.
Many people do not understand the events resulting in poverty and its associated ills in these areas. Because we do not understand the history, we attempt to draw conclusions based upon the small bits of information that we have - or - we simply speculate based upon media sound bytes or what others have told us.
People looking for solutions know to look beyond face value to address the underpinnings of hopelessness and poverty.

they were close to rolling on the anchorman...no doubt.
Each person chooses to kill, i have never done it because i dont want to lose my innocence. I cant live with myself after knowing i have done such a thing. How can you sleep knowing you (oneself) are a part of that?
It only takes these people to be stronger and not to kill and the following generations will be free of it.
violence is contagious.

We all need our Lord Jesus Christ who lives forever and He conquered Death by rising from the Dead and He died for our sins on the Cross.
Crips,Bloods and Mexicans all need Christ who died. People wake up the Devil is just laughing and his time is short.
Christ can come back any time.

1980s and early 1990s gangs in Los Angeles was no joke. Humans today don't seem to comprehend this. It was the worst in the country. Would make Chicago today look like a circus for children. There was nonstop drive-by shootings every night and day. Multiple times on single streets in a day. That place was a war zone. Pigs wouldn't even go into Watts back then. Now all this fake shit and fake wannabe rap that the white kids listen to, talking about the "beats," and everyone subliminally wears RED in the music videos, even though Watts and Compton were predominately Locs; Crips.
