@@LinwoodPowellyou got it right haha
“Yea I’m in here baby drop it like it’s hot baby “ 😂😂😂
I like the genuine feel of conversation that flows naturally on this platform.
Definitely gotta watch the whole interview... Melly mell a real one and turtle the general wish he was still here.
So basically Melly Mel was the Simon of the chipmunks
Nope, it was 4 of them you can't forget the twins
@@kanyegang2810 Baby Gangsta too
If you know Santana Blocc History and location.... they surronded by PIRU. Only crip gang on Rosecrans. They had to be hard when you got big time enemies right across the street... we talking walking distance.
Exactly 💯

It's crazy I go over there by Santana block it looks so different
Totally different.
@@pharoah1200 I don't think it's a neighborhood over there with blacks in it anymore
🤔On INGLEW🩸🩸D, Everything is different since the 1990’s🤷🏾♂️!!👌🏿’s
@@damonjohnson9656 I love how blacks make it seem like blacks were there first lmao most these neighborhoods were all white. I love how when it’s all blacks. Blacks bring down the neighborhood so quick
@Damon Johnson yeah, quite a few have moved on to better neighborhoods and, on to other states.
Much love to O0OG Melly Mel “The Professor” from Hattiesburg “Hub City,” MS to the Hub City of Compton
Melly Mel is definitely 1 of them 1's from the Tana too tell whatever story on them. And I'm from the other side. but our family tied through Compton. I always wanted to know how they got all y'all crazy ass on film!!! Lol Much love from a nigga was there. Politics early of what it became....
Shreveport, Louisiana
Ever since gangland turtle been a legend lol . I’m talking besides the black folks . “ and i gots two of them “ lol frfr . I’m an ese
Million dollar questions.... Who killed turtle???
Police
Rip OG turtle
Damn Melly I just finished watching the Kev Mac video, u and Kev Mac did on Turtle. I can’t believe I never knew that story.
Now my response is gonna be long winded… but I never had a chance to meet bro. Heard of him by way of a pop Warner Football game. I specifically remember playing for the LA Demos on the East Side of LA. We had developed a rivalry with Greater Compton. We used to whoop them every year. We got them in 82, 83, 84…. I remember after a scuffle, one of the kids yelled out…🗣️wait til I tell Turtle!!!!
I could be wrong, but what other Turtle was in Compton?
The hardest part is watching sis do her best to talk about something so painful 😢…..The last part of this comment. As we got older… started leaning towards Crippin…. I became No Go2d from IVC. This story comes back around full circle. I’m in my early 20’s and I meet a homie from Santana.….Now hear me out… I’m from a hood where I’ve seen 2 or 3 of my homies get rich before Big Syke and Mental dropped a rap album. Big Kato taught me so much… but nobody has taught me more than… Girch …some of yall call him Lil Man. I’m 47 years old today, and one of my mentors in the streets, was just a pup to Turtle. When I see Girch
SBC in Compton didn't function in L.A or around the Coliseum in 1984 to be a direct threat or nuisance to the Olympics....
OSS & LASD did not patroll the Areas where the Olympics was happening.
BBC should of hollar at LAPD to get a clear understanding of the L.A Gang landscape in 1984..
T from Shreveport
This was interesting part of the interview. Especially, how Melle Mel briefly expressed, OG Turtle forming relationships with brothas who represented the red bandana in Compton at the time. I speak on this specific part of the interview due to the historical nature of brothas representing red and blue in Compton. Especially, during the 1980's. I thought it was unheard of at that time for brothas who represent different neighborhoods/sections to interact with one another? Especially, when the dynamic of red and blue were involved?
Dollar Dollar bill, y'all get the cream
@@Dahoodpostman appreciate the response and clarification! It was just interesting to know that at that time, something like that, went on. Due to the fact that things were still very Black & White at time. There was no gray area. At least as a person on the outside looking in.
@@donaldmcclurejr.494 crips killed one of the most famous santanas..spooktown..........so compton crips had already lost the mutual respect of the blue rag, so they messed with who messed with them..............................so many examples of that happening in La period, so it wasnt taboo to get along with red rags, especially if money was involved, PLUS they knew each other from school and popwarner baseball so they werent strangers, they just picked a side
that put a target on his back
Peace Melly Mel.
Was the police harder on you guys after the bbc doc
Who killed turtle and why? Being left in a alley is bogus.
the po po whatchu think man that nigga was a target bc he always was sober and a huge influential person to a street gang
Most likely dirty police
@@EarsTotheStreetsMediadefinitely
Y is Court keep cutting Mel off? Smbdy need to interview Mel and let him talk please
If you're gonna put "Melly Mell" in yer title you should attach a qualifier that it's an LA guy. Gen X's see Melly Mell and think of a completely different cat
Im Gen X thats why I put "Dahoodpostman" on the thumbnail so they would know the difference.
That's their fault for lack of knowledge of self God, knowledge, wisdom, understanding
Mel acting like "the media" was wrong saying LA had gang problems, take some accountability brother....
they was wrong cause back then gangs werent a huge problem like today.
@RedFishBlueFish You must either not from LA County or was to young to know about the murder and mayhem these gangs were causing back then. Google some of the incidents at Skateland.
@@redfishbluefish1It was 10 times more dangerous in Compton back in the 80's, compared with today.
@@redfishbluefish1the 80s and 90s was like Vietnam. What are you talking about?
When we getting the Rich The Factor interview?
Rip to my nigga Turtle!
Chilly Pimp a kold name 😂
santana bloc had big beef with southside crips and leuders park piru
Didn’t they have beef with Atlantic Drive as well?
Where was he in the documentary? Dont remember seeing him
He was in the background mostly. They focused on Turtle and some of the other guys were more visible. He was next to Turtle in the bathroom doing their hair, he had braids. He was standing in the car when they left the skating rink. When they were showing odd the guns he was in the back with the playboy hat on.
Mel trying to redeem himself after getting clowned by em lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂 wrong Melly Mel
All the same , both crying
"Potna"
Its a shame that Mando went bad.
What Happened?
Huh?
Gangster, is gonn a be jealous of this....
They got gangs and same hoods in Britain so nothing new
