Do ya think the next Japanese snow team might bring along Maru as a teammate or mascot? Now, I can claim to have seen just about everything after I saw a cat have fun in the snow SLEDDING! Most cats I've known in the family HATE snow. We had one who only went out TO HUNT but she always found warm spots to stay warm... We're not sure exactly where but it must have been near heat vents because she stayed out over a day at time in the winter; days on end in warmer weather. In her last 5-6 years, she GLADLY stayed indoors and retired from hunting! All the male cats, including our version of Maru, never liked the snow. The Maru clone always stayed indoors unless you put him out for a while and he ALWAYS walked back indoors!
I've lost count of how many times I've viewed this. When Maru deliberately gets on the sled and goes quickly down the hill all I can do is shake my head in amazement. I just cannot any cat would want to do that and be so calm after the trip.
I think it reflects how well his mom treats them. always giving them things to explore and really bring out the cat in them. hana will seem that smart one day I bet. maru is to cute tho.
I swear if Maru had opposable thumbs he'd bring the sled back up with him! It was funny enough just watching him mosey on up the hill after the ride. xD

我が家の猫「にゃんにゃん」も冬のお散歩をしています。－10度までは元気に外を走り回っているんです。
