Ten years later and Maru is still the most entertaining cat in the world. For his birthday, the last couple of years, I've been watching all the birthday videos. Maru truly has more personality than some people I know. Maru is the comic cat, and I love him!

I love to watch Maru. Many cats with a bag on their head would be running around acting crazy, trying to get it off. But not Maru! He walks around like a prince! No wonder is he an internet star! He has earned it! We had an orange tabby named Buddy a few years ago and he would always get himself into boxes that were too small for him! Sadly he is gone now, but watching Maru fit into all kinds of boxes makes me think of him! God bless Maru and Hana and their "staff"!!!!
Our cat Dhobbel died of old age in 2000. He has apparently reincarnated into Maru. First time I saw a Maru video, it made me cry, because it was like watching our stupid cool fat cat come to life again after so many years doing the same silly things. Take good care of our Dhobbel! He was our once in a lifetime cat, and now you have him. :) He seems happy with you.

How does she film this stuff without laughing out loud? So funny when he had the bag on his head. He could have gotten it off by himself easily....he seemed to enjoy the experience!

Omg with the acoustic, cheerful guitar tunes), the no commentary besides the little black signs (like they used to show with silent films (that just ocurred to me!), that quiet "The End" at the end. As for not laughing, I just read the "I am Maru" book, hehe (hey! they had it at the NYC library! God bless'em. The library rules), and in the book she says that at times she has to work really hard at not laughing. :D
@@rebeccas9967 I don't believe anyone could be bored with maru he is just a one off ..I have never saw a cat do anything like he does ... the swing he loves he never gave up trying to master the swing and he did.. such a smart guy.. funny just a one off intelligent cat..

Wonderful, wonderful Maru. I wanted a Scottish Fold because I heard they love to cuddle and purr. Well I must have gotten one with a factory defect! She doesn’t cuddle or purr!!! But she is so smart! She loves boxes too and loves to go as high as she can. Thank you for filming Maru, it’s apparent that she loves you very much and vice versa!

Eight minutes of Maru-totally worth it. That Maru is nothing if not determined! (Also, he doesn't care about how how ungraceful he looks; he has his eye on the price: entering that box.) As for the "Sometimes he is mischievous"... Having just read the "I am Maru" book (today!), I think that "sometimes" is a bit of an understatement.
I love Maru. He reminds me so much of my kitty named Sophie. She passed away one year ago with cancer. he looks and acts so much like Maru. it has made for some very happy times watching him. thank you so much for posting all of his videos. He has been a blessing to me.:)
