smooth like buttah! I'm so jealous of your skills, I never would have thought to combine a BLI locomotive with 3D printed parts and brass boiler! well done.
That's probably the best running and but sounding steam engine I've ever seen. In last video I commented about cost but I want you to kniw, with this results I completely understand. Good luck with the rest of them, you may want to do them in an assembly line, it goes faster and easier.
Thanks for reading my previous comment about the sound.. I always run my models without sound for a few reasons but the main one is that I can hear if there are any issues with the model re rubbing conrods or arms contacting etc... and also I only run my trains on DC but that is just my way... It sounds good and looks great... keep up the great work you are doing.. I am presently learning the design side of 3D printing using Tinkercad.. I have an Ender3v2 and love it with what it can print.... I also have a 0.25 nozzle that I will try soon....
You've convinced me that you are a master model railroader. Excellent series of vids. You mentioned Rob Bennett in your part 3 and I was wondering, have you heard from him? I know he visited the B&LE quite a while ago and loved your layout long before the golden spike was driven. We also know he had some troubling medical issues and as anyone who follows his channel knows, he has been silent for close to a year now. I hope all is well with him.
Thing with the LED is the "refresh rate". Basically how fast the light is turning on and off...its weird how they work but think of it like a camera being able to pickup the rotation speed of a prop plane because the RPM of the plane's props is as fast as what the frame rate is that the camera can record at. Very nice kitbash and project too and very impressive one and its coming along well for you it seems. You ain't wrong about BLI's drive trains being great...but their electronics suck. I know, I own like 6 BLI locos now cause I model the PRR and Reading. Ripped apart an L1 already, bought 2 K4s that came dead on arrival and I only have 2 BLIs that run out of box. An i1sa like your using as a base and a RDG T-1 from like a billion years ago instead being from Precision Craft.
I've never used primer as I'm a sand blaster kind of guy, but I do have to say it sure looks good for only being primed. I hope you'll be sure to have it painted in a nice gloss and then decal it so it doesn't get air bubbles and get silvering on the decal film. then you over coat with more glose, then with the satin finish for it to look like a professional model, it's not hard, it's just prep and time.
Thanks. I've had pretty good luck decaling. Besides engines, I did a dozen 2 bay covered hoppers that I'm really happy with plus most of cabooses and passenger cars. I kinda like doing it. Zen like. Thank you!
I'm struggling with this one. I don't have a ton of interest in being a shop, i just like to tinker. I'd probably need to make "instructions" of how I did modifications to the brass & bli engines, but I may make those anyway to enter it in some contests. That being said, I'm not sure of a number, but not cheap. I have a stupid amount of hours in the CAD work, and it'd be reflective of that.
@@bessemerlakeerieinhoscale6061id definitely still be interested. I have the brass engine and got screwed over on the guy who was supposed to do the work for me so I’d like it to run great and not be in a box.
Very nice work Ray Looks and sounds great Just a quick note I noticed you have track expansion on your lower deck bridge under Pardoe, have you thought about putting in expansion joints to prevent wavy tracks?
@BigLocomotiveFan4007 thank you. That's just a temp bridge so I can run trains. I don't care how much it moves around long as trains don't derail, and for now, they don't.
Thank you for sharing. Very nice, operates very smooth, nice job.👍

Thank you. What's the expression? Necessity is the mother of invention?
Looking great! I can't wait to see it finished!
Fantastic job.
@@robertwillis4701 thank you
Honestly, I think the Bessemer and Lake Erie is an underrated railroad, I think it deserves a look here or there.
Awesome!

I might do a couple at a time, but, I'm not in a hurry. It'll probably take me a few years to get through them all.
Awesome once again. I can't wait to see the models running through some finished landscapes.
I'm dreaming of the Allegheny river bridge and seeing these double heading over it
Awesome, looking and sounding great. Smooth too. Love your videos Ray.
I'm glad they do the stealth line now.
LOVE IT!!!

I usually do for the same reason, but never thought to show it. Good call!

He's well and has been doing a ton of incredible gen 2 diesels. Not sure why he hasn't posted.
@@bessemerlakeerieinhoscale6061 That's good to hear. Thanks Ray!
So darn awesome! Can't wait to see this thing fully buttoned up! The Downtown Greenville scene is really giving the feel of the real thing too!
Thank you 😊
Looks amazing. Really clean and runs great
Thank you. Still some fine tuning but I'm very pleased for sure
Very nice, Ray!
Thanks!
Outstanding work, sir!
Appreciate the support!

Welp, I'm sold! if you were to make this isn't a sellable kit, how much you think you'd charge for it?
