Thanks so much for featuring me! I made a few mistakes and I’ve got a few things to improve on for sure. I hope you enjoyed the replay, and I wish you all many matches with no CV’s or subs! 😂
I really feel for you. This happened to me in the Massachusetts as well (the standard ship, not the M. black though). I was top tier, did around 216 k with 5 kills and was first of my team by a large margin of points. Still it wasn't enough and i did lose that battle. Quite frustrating sometimes!
I noticed that you never used freelook and preaiminig your turrets. Especially with BBs, it really helps to already align your turrets before you start the turn.
Surrounded by Loyang, Hatsuharu, Bismarck AND the carrier, with all of them having torpedoes and you're in a big lumbering battleship. That's just the best.
Honestly, something I don't see *battleship* players do enough is pre-training their turrets in the direction they are going to want to be aiming during a turn. They just let their turrets train to wherever their mouse is pointing and then begin aiming once the turn is complete. I feel like opportunities are lost because of that
Regarding torpedoing an island: According to rumour a Danish MTB sank a caravan in the Kiel Canal back in the 60'ies, as they were coming out of the locks at what, as the story goes, can best be described as a fairly brisk pace (dead slow ahead was 8-9 knots). The resulting stern wake washed over the sides of the canal and carried the caravan into the drink. "Ehm, skipper, we sunk a caravan....."
Also jingles massachusetts has another major problem (along with ohio), their ASW planes only have a 6km range means they are very limited in doing anything to the submarine if the sub can think and breathe at the same time
also on turret management and map awareness. He could have killed that Loyang like 5 minutes before he eventually did. Also if he walked at the Colorado instead of donating all his HP by giving flattest broadside in the flat universe he would have capped and probs could have won that game. There is always things you can do better even on 8 kills
@@jacknixon6315 also maybe you don't know this but hold down your right mouse button while looking around. That way your turrets will stay on target while you assess the situation around you
That sub ram reminded me of one of the most disgusting things I've seen in Warships. A destroyer was depth charging a sub, the sub rose up, rammed the destroyer, killed him and didn't die. I'm sorry Wargaming but how on earth do you expect us to deal with subs when destroyers cant even depth charge them without fear of being rammed and not getting the kill?!
The Massa tends to win at longer ranges, because it has an extra gun for more dpm, faster heals and at range the secondaries of Bismarck misses a lot while relying on pen damage, while massas secondaries are accourate enough to spread several fires around even if it only pens superstructure. At short ranges the massa is too accurate for its own good, and tends to fire on the belt where everything shatters and there is only room for a single fire, tops two if they dont have FP.
A reason for why the second round of torps from the enemy sub missed even though he was pinged and at shotgun range, could be because the sub was too deep. While you can fire your homing torps 30/60 m under water, if you get too close there's a very likely chance that even with them homing solidly, they'll pass by under the ship because they wont climb fast enough.
Personally I would say a big misplay would be at 15:00 when he decided to turn in to face-off the Colorado at F7 instead of approaching the cap from G6, which would help him contest the cap without risking being rammed but also put islands between himself and the Hatsuharu's torpedos. also, how many times did thomas fire HE at the DDs? I feel he could have killed them off far sooner into the game.
Ain't that the truth. Played two matches yesterday and stopped for the day, because my team in both were just full of people making really stupid choices.
I'd like to see here a big bang awesome battle in the middle of wich Jingles recognises that he himself is sailing around on the other side of the map totally oblivious to everything^^
That U-69 demonstrated that homing torpedoes at 2km from target should not use their sonar ping. The torpedoes almost immediately loose lock and you give away your position. If he had been a DD driverr he would have simply launched his torpedoes estimating where he was going without using the ping.

@@samuelvanderzwaag157 makes sense. No carrier ever took any damage because of a rocket. Certainly not something like a Zuni detonating under a plane's wings could cause any damage at all.
It’s like watching a typical action movie where despite loads of bad guys shooting at the protagonist and doing everything to kill him....protag still just comes out on top killing loads of bad guys.
I was gonna chalk it up to the Hatsuharu trying to predict where thomas was gonna go... but the more i thought about it the more it seemed like the torpedoes were just shot at random.
"It has dozons of Secondaries" Not true jingles, it has exactly 5 secondary batteries mounted each side. Specifically Duel Barreled 5 inch Mark 38s if im not mistaken, which also double as the Long Range AA guns. So in total it has 10 Secondary batteries in total with 20 barrels in total, only 10 of which can fire at any one time on each side.
If a submarine is submerged, the sub captain has to be more aware of islands because they’re not in plain sight. You have to use the periscope underwater to determine if land is going to interfere with your torpedoes, and since they’re homing torpedoes, they can curve around a land mass. It depends upon distance, speed of the ship you’re targeting and when and we’re you ping your target. In the case of the cahelot, he was just desperate to get torps on target, and I can feel the frustration of torps not homing in on a target. Some of those torpedoes should not have missed their intended target.
