That's interesting as it sat for a long time unsold, we only viewed it as another property fell through, and we felt it was a good investment. We heard someone offered more after our offer, but the owner felt a connection with ourselves.

No place that I have found is equal to Portugal. What impresses me, an American is the way they learn from and correct potential problems and issues. That is unheard of here in the “Not My Job” States.
Huge house, very good condition with a lot of thinking in planning.
I personally would keep all the wood details but change all the tiles and walls to brighter color to make it look more open especially the upper floor but absolutely beautiful and the price again, as an Israeli it's almost for free

On the land map, you had a green line on the west side that went right by the house. Is that big plot on the other side of that line also part of the property? It looked like there were grape vines there.

I think if you're on a D7 VISA then you'll need health insurance but our friends from the US say its really cheap and a great service having used it a lot.
Healthcare is laughably affordable in Portugal compared to the US.
