It's much easier if you don't touch your System Fonts at all - leave them as default and simply set your Typography > Body to your default Open Sans font there. That sets your default font family everywhere.

I do the same. The only thing I'm doing under "Typography" is setting the Body font. And then adding my custom fonts under Global Fonts.

Yup :)

Unfortunately many Elementor themes (like Arolax) don't allow global (fonts/colors) changes, we have to go page to page to make changes. Thats a huge issue and I don't plan to use Elementor anymore, since this is a platform flaw.
