Kay, I have to share a personal story with you. About 2 weeks ago my 8 year old daughter ended up in the ER and was then admitted to the hospital for 4 days. On the hospital bed was a beautiful patchwork quilt that had been donated to the children's ward of the hospital. It was so lovely, and we got to bring it home with us, which delighted my daughter. It is now a treasured blanket that she uses every night. The blankets that you are making for your local ER are more than just blankets. They are comfort and safety and something beautiful in the midst of a scary time for a child (and their parents). Thank you for donating them. I wish I could thank the person who made the blanket for my daughter. I will always be grateful.

Absolutely love it! It's beautiful as are all of your projects. At 71 years old, I'm an intermediate crocheter and a very beginner knitter who struggles with the purl stitch and have always had knitted socks on my bucket list but now I'm adding the Musselburgh hat. Hello, after 25 years of crochet I learned to knit as well. Continental style is easiest for me as it mimics crochet in my opinion. Try the Norwegian purl method.
I was born and raised in Georgia, but after high school I moved up to Michigan for 10 years. Now I’m back in my home state and I miss snow SO MUCH. Used to get 2 feet easy, now I’m lucky if I ever see white again. 😭 Please enjoy the snow for those of us who can’t, Kay! 🥹🤍

Wyatt's Meow socks are so fun! Love that striping pattern in the yarn...sooooo good! You've got some gorgeous yarn to knit up. I immediately fell in love with the monkey sock set and thought wow, those would be awesome striped socks. So that's my pick...although you can't go wrong with any of them. I have been resisting VERY hard to not order some Felici. A few of those colors are taunting me. I just may break down soon and throw caution to the wind. I do love self striping sock yarn WAY too much.
OMG yessss, Felici! I felt the same way when they discontinued it--I flipped from "oh, I've been so good not ordering it" to "what have I done, now it's gone forever" so fast hahaha! I held out for a little bit but I've got three colors on their way to me, and I can't wait
We got a tiny bit of snow in Virginia yesterday evening. I was really hoping for a good amount but it melted super fast. I too placed a Knit Picks order, got all the same colors you did except Lisa was sold out, I got Frankie instead. It’s on its way and I’m so excited. Fun to the see the new Felici colors! I got a surprise extra ball of Stroll on one of my last orders. I had also seen the video about doing kfb instead of m1r and m1l - so glad to see it again as I find those increases so fiddly. Our snow came overnight earlier in the week, will be hoping for snow in the daytime soon. Love watching it too.

Enjoy the snow. Nothing in southern Ontario (yet) but the scent is in the air. I always start my Musselburgh the same way and use KFB for the increases. I think it looks fine. I usually leave the decrease end on the outside anyway so no one even sees it.

The scrappy musselburgh is awesome! I found the lantern moon cables excellent, similar to chiagoo and maybe even more flexible. They work on the knit picks/knit pro needles. I get the spin version

Last week here where I live (Colorado) it snowed for 3 straight days. By time it finally stopped we had 18” of snow! Luckily, it never stays around for very long. For the Christmas socks, I vote for the Gnomies socks, they definitely will be very cute socks.
Temps have finally dipped here to the 50s but I cant wait to go back home for Christmas (Europe) because they just got some snow there according to my mom and I could use the sight of fallen snow!! It's hard to be motivated for hot cocoa in South Carolina when I know Thanksgiving will be 75!! I'm always in awe of your speed at knitting socks. My husband's socks require 72 stitsches and he loves a 80 rounds socks...takes forever lol! Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Felici is one of my favorites. You could use that extra ball to make a pair of matching Everything November Mitts (pattern on Ravelry). Great pattern for self striping yarn 😊

I can’t wait to make another musselburgh hat now that you enlightened me that I can just cast on, start in the round and close up the hole. The cast on is always so annoying and fiddly to me that, even though I love that hat so much I never want to make one.

I’ve been knitting all the Christmas socks. (By Christmas, I mean red and green Christmas color way socks). My mom requested a pair. And she said she wants them now so she can wear them. I’m also done with hers. I’ve already started wearing mine from this year and last 😂

I can’t wait to make another musselburgh hat now that you enlightened me that I can just cast on, start in the round and close up the hole. The cast on is always so annoying and fiddly to me that, even though I love that hat so much I never want to make one.
It was always a hold up to me wanting to start one!

I was THRILLED to see Felici is back and the snow yesterday was so beautiful, it totally made my whole day when I opened the blinds yesterday morning and saw the back yard was blanketed in it. Happy Thanksgiving, Kayla!
Omg, I was so happy that they brought Felici back... I may have ordered at least 1 of each colour (except 1 that was out of stock) and possibly 2 of some of them, lol....! It made me so happy!
Hey there “cowgirl”. Talk about snow did you see the Browns game last night? 😮 Now that’s snow! I live just south of Cleveland but didn’t get the lake effect. I love getting caught up in colors. Was at Joanne’s and made a Gramma’s dishcloth from Sugar’n Cream Mistletoe (green, white, red). So many fun projects!
I wish we had gotten that much snow here! 😂
I’ve been knitting all the Christmas socks. (By Christmas, I mean red and green Christmas color way socks). My mom requested a pair. And she said she wants them now so she can wear them. I’m also done with hers. I’ve already started wearing mine from this year and last 😂

Open up the package of the KP needles and check out the cable. They now have the same type of cable as Chiaogoo and I think they have been upgrading all their sets with the new cables.

Great video could you do a video on how you start and end new yarn and also weave in all your yarn in the scrappy projects?
I have a tutorial for how I weave in my ends, it can be found on the tutorial playlist. It’s how I do them on very project. I just drop the yarn and start with the new, don’t do anything special 🙂

I’d start the “Christmas with my Gnomies”. Mindless knitting with no counting for color changes (unlike the planned stripes you’d like to do with Froggy Christmas)and the green is a truer “Christmas green”.

I won’t be doing any Vlogmas videos this year. I have 8 years worth of them (think it’s that many) that can all be found here on my youtube channel. This December I’m going to spend the month relaxing and enjoying my kids and family and not worrying about recording and editing the vlogs. ❤️❤️
