Indeed but the biggest shame is HH making people purchase the iX20 just to get what they should of got with the iX12, I was fed up with my ix12 also and sold it like many. So for that reason I can't blame him. HH rather than address the issue they looked the other way.
@@f900ex5 see I’ve had my ix12 for about a year now. I fly lots everything from big 3D gassers, scale models and jets. Never have I had an issue with the ix12. I would gladly be onboard if I had these issues. Maybe the later updates fixed all the problems people seemed to have

The last airplane that that transmitter was booted up to was ready to fly as soon as the spectrum logo lit up. It's the Android system that takes so long

I have one and know 2 guys that have the ix12. 2 no problems. Mine had a screen issue, I sent it to Horizon, got it back in a week no problems, no charges great TX. Super intuitive and easy to use.

I'd heard about disappearing saved model with it, besides being slow. I understand as probably everyone else her does, how long it can take to set a model up just right, for you're flying style, then it's all gone. I had problems with my NX10. It seems they got the NX6 and NX8 right, but, I had connection issues with it, and once finally online with it, then I had problems installing updates. Warnings and alarms going off all the time. I had it with it too. I decided to sell it, and put the money towards the new IX14 they came out with a month ago. I know it's a bit soon, but so far, it seems to be the radio, I think the IX12 was supposed to be.
Find also think there could have been a lot of better uses for the radio however It is his radio and he is free to do whatever he wants with it I myself would have probably tried to sell it or give it to someone who can afford something that expensive or worse case salvage part it out but my conclusion is it's his stuff to do whatever he wants with it

I had this junk tx I also had futaba 14 And I was not satisfied with any of them, I switched to open tx and bought a radiomaster tx16s And I did not look back anymore
Did a nice video on the Mavic2 case. This may have been a MUCH more effective /enjoyable video had he talk through it and all of the frustrations etc. Also looks weird that the date on the camera taking the video is 2018-01-02 and no sound. Maybe it's just me but I would have had it fixed and used it. If this made somebody happy- great.
I have the blue version of this radio, and so far mine is still working fine after a year of use. I haven't done any updates to it and wouldn't do it. Hopefully this was just a few bad ones that slipped through the crack and not a bad product in general! 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾... You should've just debe it back to Horizon Hobby!
Hello, es-ce que la radio à était envoyé au SAV pour contrôle. Personellement le fait de brûler la radio n'est pas à mon goût, mais chacun fait comme il veux. Pour le même tarif d'une IX12, tu as une superbe Futaba ou Jeti. Bonne journée.
Seemed to fine sometimes, then it would just lock up. Screen would go black, power button would not function and I would have to pull the battery out to reset. Other times the screen would stop reponding, start flashiing like a lighting storm and only thing I could do was pull the battery. I emailed spektrum they said email horizon and I have recieved no responses. I have had great luck with them in the past! I have had a DX7, DX8, and the DX9. I thought this was going to be a cool new radio and bought it with out reading all the reviews online.

@@shadowcat2002 They completely went through and fixed my Gen 1 DX8 I bought back in 2010 for free. Maybe you should have tried a little harder. Back when the first Gen 1 DX8's came out, I had major issues with it, and they sent me a brand new one free of charge, and I got to keep the remaining stuff including the receiver from the old kit. They would have made it right.....but they sure won't now.
I also had an IX12 but its clumsy and slow menu function performance just bugged me so I sold it. Replaced it with a NX10 which has been good but I recently got to try out the newer IX20 and its amazing! Bought a IX20SE and loving it! Anyone want to buy a NX10?
I'm radioless ..... so heavily invested with spektrum recievers in everthing... DX9 Black or maybe the new NX10. just something I can down load all my models to

It would be a lot of work and possibly involve some learning, but the TX16S from Radiomaster is a good radio. I’m not into Spek gear much but everyone with a DX9 seems to really like them. Has the be the dumbest thing I have seen on youtube in a year, destroying a $630 radio. If you didn't like it, just give it away or sell it. Or yiu could have done like most owners do, turn it on while at home and put it in standby mode. Then it's a very quick boot when at the field.
What a petulant idiotic gesture. If you hate the Tx so much sell it, or even give it to someone who has hit hard times and make their day. Sure the slow start-up is a pain and should be fixed, but you can just turn the darn thing on when you get to the field, and it's ready to go by the time you unpack the car. It's not impossible to work around.
Not true... Loose a 5000 dollar turbine jet with this radio and then lets talk about work around...I've had countless brownouts with multiple aircraft using this $600 dollar paper weight...

All you had to do is pull your throttle to minimum, if out of trim just adjust trim travel. and it will load up.

This garbage can ruin your RC plane and you will lost more money. So killing it with a fire is for the good.

Horizon /Spektrum has the best customer service I have ever encountered in any hobby or otherwise. They would have made it right.

My ix12 went through the same thing when I was flying with light rain, a lightning struck it and I dropped it and it just went up in flames.
