Greetings! I am form the Philippines & I am interested to learn the Finnish Language. I believe that one of the effective way to learn is watching Finnish language lesson videos. I searched & found these series of videos, infact I subscribed to it. As a beginner how is it possible for someone like me (a beginner) to learn the Finnish language, if I don't understand the entire video, its words & conversations. Is it okay for a beginner like me to request the person responsible for uploading the video to put some English subtitles or translations. Thank you very much.
Hi Lester - you can find the vocabulary for Supisuomea series here, in English: yle.fi/aihe/artikkeli/2015/02/04/suomi-english - this may help somewhat. Be aware there is some "puhukieli" (spoken language) slang in the videos which is not used when writing, so it may sometimes be a little confusing. For other assistance, I recommend pages such as www.uusikielemme.fi/ and people.uta.fi/~km56049/finnish/ to teach some basics about grammar, and also the website "Memrise" has some online free courses to help with some basics.
Kiitos paljon
Koiran nimi on Kef ! 😄👍. That's what we sometimes use instead of the word bark . Like hau hau .. we say kef .
Kiitos!
What does "nythän" mean? I can't find this word anywhere
I believe it is the word "nyt" (now) with the emphasis particle "hän" attached.
mukava kanaali

I use Google Translate, but agree it is very time consuming and sometimes it could not be accurate.
