🏰 Kingdom Come Cards: kingdomcomecards.com/ I also forgot to mention another idea that I've seen in Arkham - permanent/setup cards you can add to your deck during deckbuilding! Call this #26! I also probably should have mentioned stuff like SHIELD and Mission Training is still really good in big multiplayer Justice. (But it's no 2-cost Even The Odds instantly removing 8-16 threat...)
Honestly, that's probably how team cards should work. "If all characters in your deck have the Avengers trait, you may add Mighty Avengers as a permanent card during setup."
Oh I do like the idea of more standard sets! Not only could you change out mods to give each game a different flavor, but also the standard sets. The replay ability would be endless!
The one thing I've wanted for years is cards that can only be played by a hero with the Gamma trait to basically patch Hulk and She-Hulk up to par with some of the newer heroes. Cards like Limitless stamina are nice and I think are supposed to be that fix, but Hulk in particular is still so much worse than everyone else that I'd like to see buffs for him that don't affect Thor and other more powerful characters. Maybe a Red Hulk villain scenario that has a couple Gamma cards for players or even a Gamma modular that affects all Hulks, villain and hero.
For Cyclops' cards, I wish they had made them non temporary, unless they were attached to the villain. That way you could place them on a strong minion and whittle away at them over time, but if you placed the upgrades on the villain then they would be removed at the end of the round.
I wish we had permanent player card. Like "Choose one extra aspect during deck-building. You must include 6 cards of this aspect. Those cards don't count towards your deck limit. Your deck cannot have basic cards."
Saved to watch later. I save all VT’s videos for coffee and dog time. I like to be able to watch them from start to finish. Viewers who may haven’t seen his Modular cards video and Heroes with aspect ratings for each have to! I’ve said it before. VT’s videos are perfect time length for viewers of varied schedules. This seems to be taken into consideration every time. We appreciate you!!! ❤
One thing I would like in this wave: A Scenario Pack! I know they have said there is no real rhythm to when they do one, and we do get plenty of scenarios via campaigns but it still feels past due. They always bring such great ideas to scenario packs, I wish we had more.
Great video as always! One thing I really want is more choices on Treachery cards. AH does this really well and we had a few interesting choices before on Treachery cards, but I really think we could use more
Great ideas! I especially agree with getting new single card modulars with Setup and less scenarios with required allies. I’d add that I would love seeing Protection get more Voltron support since it has a natural synergy with your hero defending while an ally handles THW/ATK.
They are in the tricky position that there are so many cards with slightly different text that they've had to make the rules cover a lot of situations. Part of me wants to have a go at re-writing the rules to see if it's possible to shorten/streamline them (if I had infinite time to do so) - but part of me is terrified at the prospect and thinks Tony did as good of a job as anyone can already with all the many cards that have function.
I agree that justice it's lacking in tools compared to is counterpart, aggression. But we do have one major build around card now that I've been absolutely loving, Gunboat Deplomacy.
I would like: - An Errata Pack with new or replacement cards (like cryptozoic games does for their deck builders) - Team Up Cards for existing heroes - Multiple wild resource cards for identity cards - A fourth mode of each Villain utilizing their deck in different ways - More cards that use hero traits that haven't ever been explored - A scenario pack for Maximum Carnage And here we go...😂😂😂 X-Factor - Beast - Morph Hero Packs - Dazzler - Mantis - Spiderman Noir - Sunspot Agents Of Shield Box - Maria Hill - Nick Fury Hero Packs - Shuri - Silk - Falcon - Winter Soldier X-Force Box - Strong Guy - Wolfsbane - Forge - Havok - Multiple Man - Polaris Heroes For Hire Box - Iron Fist - Luke Cage Hero Packs - Black Cat - Daredevil - Jessica Jones - Punisher Marvel Knights Box - Cloak - Dagger Hero Packs - Blade - Electra - Ghost Rider - Moon Knight Fantastic Four Box - Mr Fantastic - Invisible Woman Hero Packs - Human Torch - Namor - Silver Surfer - The Thing Cosmic Box - Nova (RR) - Mantis Hero Pack - Beta Ray Bill - Cosmic Ghost Rider - Moondragon - Phyla-Vell
Love it!! I made a list of heroes I want for a different video I never made - maybe I should make it soon! There's some overlap but a lot of differences too. So many great characters to draw from. Thanks for taking the effort to share this!
I would like to see a campaign designed to lean on our hero nemesis. Make them part of the scenarios, or easier to come into the game. Give them a few cards as the campaign progresses that added to the nemesis or their mod set. These cards would give the nemesis a slight boost while progressing through the campaign.
As a player who has gotten into the game only recently, I really want to see Captain America and Doctor Strange get a reprint so that I can actually have them. Also, please please please do something to make the Hulk incredible like he should be.
I predict Maria Hill will bring a new type to leadership: abusing support. She will probably let all SHIELD supports into her builds, and ready them to reuse them again with added tokens.
For the new Shield wave they should make an Agent Coulson aggression ally who can get a specific weapon upgrade with the flavour text "Even I don't know what it does" and if he's defeated by the villain while this upgrade is attached has a forced response of deal 3 damage to the villain with the flavour text "so that's what it does" 😂
Oww it would be nice to get reprints of Side Schemes, especially build support and superpower training. Also agree on ally spam due to broken team cards, aka Uncanny Xmen, it feels too samey.
The side schmes would be sooo nice to have! I will say I don't think the team cards are all "broken" or anything, even if one is especially powerful...but there is an element of samey-ness.
I’d like to see them include standard one and expert one. I know the core set is nice but not everybody wants to revert to that and wants to jump right in.
Would be amazing if they had an upgrade that attaches to any minion, and gives non-elites vulnerable, but elites take 4 damage instead each time a confuse or stun would be placed on them.
I like the idea of Multiverse Rules, but maybe it should be a support card you have to play to open the multiverse. Or a modular set with a permanent multiverse environment. That way it doesn't feel as arbitrary about when you choose which version of the rules you're going with. I also think it should be limited to allowing identities and allies together. I wouldn't want 3 copies of the same ally in play because of "multiverse".
Not so keen on the support idea, I love the modular idea though! My only concern is that wouldn't allow Valkyrie to include Valkyrie in her deck to use as part of the limited Asgard allies, and similar shenanigans, due to the deck-building rules.
I think the FFG folk are bemused that people don't just break multiverse rules when they feel like it! I'd like more Justice archetypes and Avengers outside Leadership would be good. More inventive PSS - the ones we have are very good but very utilitarian. The one card, or at least small, permanent modular sets would be a good way to shake up scenarios and maybe change deck building rules as player cards. To be more like the LOTR Contracts than the AH permanents as they are usually balanced around XP in some way.
I'd like to see new mechanics to bring out allies. Rescuing prisoners has been fun in missions. Maybe allow a one time use to activate an alter ego card whilst still in hero state.
I think a cool decision making one could be remove the top card of your deck from the game. Rescue this Ally. Is that ally worth losing potentially your best attack card or something?
I used Kingdome Come for extra cards recently. The cards arrived quickly and in good shape. The price was fair, would absolutely use again. Happy to see them sponsoring you VT!
That's fantastic to hear! I hadn't heard of them before they reached out, but people on my Discord server had nice things to say and they were super easy to work with.
I would like to see some kind of new flipping mechanic for characters. This would be the perfect wave to introduce it since Nick and Maria don’t actually have a Hero / Alter ego forms. They are simply who they are. Not sure what it would like yet but it could be something interesting. What do you think?
Honestly, even if it was just as simple as new aspect cards, I think more ways to change form would be fun. A new mechanic would work too. As long as it was limited and used carefully by the design team
1.) Avengers already have a lot of support. There are plenty of Keywords that need more help over Avengers. 2.) I agree on the reprints so badly. Clear the Area especially as it is locked behind an entire campaign box. I also want to nominate What Doesn't Kill Me. Build Support is huge and locked behind Evolution Next. 3.) I can vouch for Kingdom Come Cards. I've made multiple orders from there. Sadly, some cards are sold out, like Professor X. 4.) Disagree about the Take That / Surprise Attack. These are great for heroes like Valkyrie, Rogue, Iceman, Black Widow, etc. 5.) I love Second Wind. I do run it. Especially good if you have a resource generator to cover the Mental. My Iron Man runs it with Ingenuity. 6.) I'm tired of how many new mod sets we get. I feel like every time we get a hero pack with a mod set we are getting screwed out of new aspect cards. 7.) Hugely disagree with the Multiverse rules. Not only is the concept ultra played out, but it destroys the whole point of uniqueness. I like it as it is now.
1) I agree other groups need more support, but at the same time there's... uhh... 22 Avenger heroes? So any Avenger support hits the most characters possible for a trait. 2) What Doesn't Kill Me is a great shout. 3) Super happy to hear that! Kingdom Come Cards were very easy to work with 4) Totally fair. I think they're good on Iceman, not bad on Rogue and Cyclops, but I wouldn't touch them with Valkyrie personally over other options. But each to their own! 5) Awesome! 6) To be clear, I didn't necessarily want more mod sets than we'd otherwise get normally or mod sets in hero packs, just more of these certain types when we do get them. 7) The thing is, the multiverse concept isn't played out at all in Marvel Champions. Just elsewhere. And part of the way I phrased it was that it should be an alternative rule set you can use, not just the default way the game is. So hopefully that makes it a little more appealing but each to their own again and hey, I doubt they're actually going to do it since they haven't done it in the 8 previous waves...
Ive been working on a nemisis encounter deck that plays simillar to the 1st wrecking crew encounter fighting up to 4 nemesis...... Basically use can put in any nemesis and fight against them. My question is what program do you use to make your own cards?. And would BBG be a good place to to place them. ?
Don't tell anyone but I don't use BGG much, though I expect it would be a good place! You might get more eyes on Reddit but Reddit can be a strange place. As for making your own, search on RUclips for a video from Andy N about making custom cards. It's really good!
I'm so excited for the Thunderbolts scenario in the Shield box. I feel like it's going to shake up the game with each Thunderbolt being its own modular encounter set and being usable with any villain is a really cool concept in my opinion. Edit: My group uses multiverse rules by default. The unique rule is really dumb in multiplayer and makes deck building needlessly complicated for the group.
I'd like to see a new Standard Set that feels better adjusted for true solo. I.E. less swingy. For example, replace the treachery Advance with a side scheme that makes the villain scheme without a boost card when it's revealed, but has an acceleration icon too.
Thanks for another excellent video. Personally, I'm disappointed we're not seeing any gamma love, I was hoping for Leader, Abomination and maybe even Doc Samson. Also, other traits need attention,: soldier, civilian, attorney🙃.
The scenario specific allies messing up avengers/etc set ups sounds like it solves your problem with the teams being too strong/prevalent tho. I enjoy scenarios presenting specific challenges to specific builds.
I don't believe I said they were too powerful, just a little straightforward in deck-building sometimes. And the thing is, for example, any scenario that uses Hope Summers? Mighty Avengers just doesn't work. That's not a fun challenge to overcome so much as completely nullifying a whole card I might as well have not bothered bringing. There's no counter play or working around it...it just doesn't work 😅
I need the design team to be linked this video, so they can study and plan accordingly going forward. Two disagreements I have (beyond my heavy praise and same-mindedness on much of this wishlist): 1. I still do like tribal support, so looking forward to what SHIELD and future teams will get. 2. I am skeptical basics will solve the issue for 'Pool, you are either simultaneously assisting other aspects to continue to be better than 'Pool and/or robbing future 'Pool of cards it needs to be better. It still requires an additional step/archetype. But the others are too strong and generic. GotG is better, I don't know why I put that one on the screen when I didn't actually talk about it. But still, I think I'd like something different going forward! I don't think there's a problem with the other ones, they have a place, but let's shake it up

AH: LCG is my favorite game and I think there are a lot of cool ideas they can bring from there! Hopefully that will happen one day :)
I'd like to see more support for characters that rely on specific card types. Arrows, techniques, etc.
100%! I talked a bit about arrows and preparations in some other videos actually, but maybe I should have included them here still.
Oh I do like the idea of more standard sets! Not only could you change out mods to give each game a different flavor, but also the standard sets. The replay ability would be endless!

he has an upgrade in his kit that does that. Negating a 1 attack minion for eternity would be kinda lame
Honestly just having certain cards only gain temporary when put on the villain is really interesting design space for different effects
I wish we had permanent player card. Like "Choose one extra aspect during deck-building. You must include 6 cards of this aspect. Those cards don't count towards your deck limit. Your deck cannot have basic cards."

Glad to see kingdom cards be promoted. I’ve been a frequent customer there and they are great.
Glad to hear it! They were super easy to work with
I actually sent you a similar idea for Shadows of the Cast. I love seeing what you and other creators would love for the game.

I Wish they made a way that decks like confuse Psylocke still got their benefits even against stalwart enemies somehow
I really would like to see more basic cards like weapons, armor, tech, and vehicles. I feel like it would be on theme in this cycle.
Weapons are definitely on my wishlist especially!
I like the idea of Multiverse Rules, but maybe it should be a support card you have to play to open the multiverse. Or a modular set with a permanent multiverse environment. That way it doesn't feel as arbitrary about when you choose which version of the rules you're going with.

Wave 9 already? Wow
The funny thing is we had a delay before NeXT Evolution and a slow wave in Wave 8. Funny how fast it seems to go!
I'd like to see a new Standard Set that feels better adjusted for true solo. I.E. less swingy. For example, replace the treachery Advance with a side scheme that makes the villain scheme without a boost card when it's revealed, but has an acceleration icon too.
Agreed, there are so many possibilities. I have my own design for a solo Standard set stashed away I should share some time
Thanks for another excellent video. Personally, I'm disappointed we're not seeing any gamma love, I was hoping for Leader, Abomination and maybe even Doc Samson. Also, other traits need attention,: soldier, civilian, attorney🙃.
🤞I hope we see support for the different traits! And there's always hope for a scenario pack in terms of villains...
The scenario specific allies messing up avengers/etc set ups sounds like it solves your problem with the teams being too strong/prevalent tho. I enjoy scenarios presenting specific challenges to specific builds.

Here for the skilled investigator reprint love
Hey Villain. I'd like to see a way to introduce spies (and spy mechanics) to all the other hero groups (X-men, Avengers, Web-warriors, etc).
Ooh interesting! I don't know much about how that would work thematically but I do love the spy theme in general.
I need the design team to be linked this video, so they can study and plan accordingly going forward.
Two disagreements I have (beyond my heavy praise and same-mindedness on much of this wishlist):
I agree with VT, as is, 'Pool is way too high-risk, low-reward. I would prefer a 'Pool cycle that not only fixes this, but has cards within that make the Deadpool aspect pack coveted for completion because the new 'Pool cards synergize very well with the old.
Here is what I believe is lacking for 'Pool that needs to be a card:
2 Cost Upgrade
Play under any player's control. Max 1 per player.
Hero Action: exhaust this upgrade and choose an acceleration, amplify, crisis, or hazard icon on a card ▶️ ignore that icon's effects for the round.
Not only does this scale per player, but also allows 'Pool player to go nuts and multiplayer team can modify potency of danger against them.
Ha! I'm sure the design team have plenty of ideas but thank you!
I will say I do like the tribal supports but we have a few and it generally leads to a similar plan. I'd like something different this wave. But I'd be fine if they did it.
I agree on team cards, to an extent. I think GotG is better because while it rewards a team trait, it’s not as universal as mighty avengers/uncanny x-men. It still requires an additional step/archetype. But the others are too strong and generic.
Then again, that might be helpful to new or casual players who just want to slam their favorite mutants into a deck and have fun.
GotG is better, I don't know why I put that one on the screen when I didn't actually talk about it. But still, I think I'd like something different going forward!
I don't think there's a problem with the other ones, they have a place, but let's shake it up
@ I don’t disagree, but it feels more like a card to build something interesting around, rather than just “add traited allies”
Campaigns that are actually fun and worth playing again. AoA's was bad, at best the others are pedestrian.
I'm not a big fan of campaigns in this game, that's true, but I will say the campaign things they've shown off so far are very promising 🤞
