I disagree with comparing Visa to cash. It's competitor isn't cash. You have to compare it against all the many other ways to pay electronically or with plastic (other credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Paypal, etc).
Visa card on iPhone allowing for Apple Pay…. 😃 Master card, Amex, and discover… in case you travel the world…. There will be a store that only takes one of these.
Another perspective you are missing is this. I am a business owner, I have been noticing that a lot of businesses are charging 3.99% Credit Card fee on their invoices. Business owners are trying to get their customers to pay with cash, check, ACH or Zelle to avoid the credit card fees. This could hurt Visa but overall maybe not that much but it depends.
His focus is on the dividend growth. Visa has grown it's dividend on average over 15% per year. Buy it now and wait 10-30 years and you'll see the dividend grow a lot along with added good EPS growth.
Dividend investing is a very long term project… 1MM works… 2MM is better… To get to that level may require growth stocks for several years… You only need to get wealthy once. 😃
To build a sizable dividend stream for today will be difficult. To build one for 20 years from now will be much easier. I start with the easier task of building future income.
@@parkevtatevosiancfa9544 Awesome explanation / connection to how dividend investing can be interesting to people…. Probably helps to understand dividend growth and the rule of 72 to better see the future… And knowing when a dividend gets too good, a sign that it will get cut, and disaster follows the cut. 😃
He careful what you wish for. I have no problem with debit cards like visa. I like the convenience, as long as cash is an option. Once cash is abolished, you'll be really under the thumb...

How many shares does one have to buy to have an actually sizable dividend? Probably $1 million + worth

I have some positions in Visa
Parkev, what do you think about China at the moment? I know you’re big on Alibaba but what about Tencent?
There are many undervalued Chinese stocks at the moment. One of my top stocks is BABA, you are right.

What about MO
Killer product!
