    Nebraska needs to take a very serious look at Elijah Robinson as DC. He has coached with Rhule at Temple and Baylor, he is a heck of a recruiter, and he could be huge in helping to retain current guys on the defensive side of the ball, specifically D Line

    335 Will probably work better in the ACC. Secondary was the issue this year. Frankly thought he would do a little better than he did because he had a couple real stinkers.
    But he had some NFL talent at defensive tackle got really helped him this year.
    I think we will miss him... And maybe even our d-line coach who is rumored to be going to Florida State as well... Even more.
    But I do wonder if Tony is a system guy as opposed to a defensive genius.
    Anyway, from the sounds of it there's no way that they are giving the head coach at Florida State bio. So the cheaper alternative was to pay any price to get to qualified coordinators

    Aggressive defenses work great against passing teams if you have some big fast twitchy DLs that can get to the QB. Nebraska hasn't had that on DL for a long long time. FSU should be successful with White. Better letes.

  • @aodhhanswtor7252
    @aodhhanswtor7252 21 час назад +4

    Hartzog screwed up all year long. They never replaced him. Didn't even take his number or black shirt, and they sure should have. White's secondary isn't aggressive. They passively lay back, and press coverage is non-existent. Which doesn't help the D-Line at all.
    Husker's Defense did well against really bad teams and didn't do well against teams that were just bad. Watch the Illinois game as well as USC to really see how well the defense did. Personally, I'm okay with him leaving. I'm looking forward to getting rid of the 3-3-5/3-8 defense.

    I enjoyed the coverage as a husker fan. I’m not crazy about losing our defensive coordinator. They have been top 25 recruiting off the radar the last couple years so finishing in the top 20 in defense the last two years I would call that mediocrity especially when you have all juniors and seniors this year. He inherited it a lot And was there for two years. It’s probably a win-win for both parties cause we expect better. We want a top 10 defense not mediocrity so as far as I’m concerned, good riddance.

      Even though White held Shadeur and Colorado to season lows across the board and only gave up 1 3rd down attempt against Ohio State and essentially kept them in check all game, that you expected even more from the Nebraska defense? And a program that has been in mediocrity for decades? You said Top 25 in recruiting and the defense was top 20-10 in most categories. Lmfao we'd respect you more if you just admitted you're butthurt 🤣 😂 💀
