The meaning of BLACKPINK aims to contradict the common perception of the color pink. Aw we appreciate the love and support u guys have been showing BLACKPINK. Even though they are GLOBAL… trust me the toxic hate they ALSO always get is also IMMENSE. Furthermore, LOVESICK GIRLS is actually a FAN FAVORITE for BLINKS (BLACKPINK'S FANDOM). There is even a DARKER theory that the music video depicts the death of each BLACKPINK MEMBER so the mv is not just about love for some people. I mean the sign constantly shown in the back of the MV did say we are born and die alone.
(Jennie car accident (7:28), Lisa building suic!de (7:47), Rosie self-drowned (10:07), Jisoo however is trying to save them before she herself was not alive anymore as she is the only one running 9:33 to try and save each member before it was too late. Not to mention, each of the girls were with guys except Jisoo as when her parts came she was alone in that field of flowers which signifies her being their guardian angel (as she is also what we call the mother of their group). A theory officially quoted "Jisoo runs as fast as she can to save the girls as she realized she don't have much time to find answer while the pinks is dying. Notice how after Jisoo running scene, the pink car appeared and the car only appeared when all the pinks is in them altogether. It means Jisoo died in the end and join with the other girls. Jisoo realized while trying to protect the girls but she don't save herself. In the end the girls realized they are in other world with each other. The scene when the girls see the sun is the moment they know this is not the end. This Is Just The Beginning. They are not kids anymore. They have prepare a strong self in this past years and they need to show it to the world. Realized Jennie and Jisoo were credited in the lyrics producer. LSG is the death of their old human form. To remembered who they are and how the story begin with all of them." So, this is definitely more on the deeper side of context but I think it is so symbolic and valid to analyze LSG at such a level. Especially, when so many people love saying "BP'S music has no depthness or has no meaning" but they always have something embedded within their messages, you guys have to theorize and analyze and voila its right there.

Were she reborn the 03members like how they died...jennie came with the car, lisa represents the building lift and rose came back with the black ink with the guy heart who broke there heart... To explain KILL THIS L:OVE a bit deeper, although the song suggests that the four members are looking to end a relationship (which they are), the real meaning of the song is about being introspective, recognizing what makes them repeatedly get into toxic relationships and "KILL" that kind of love. Jennie, on the swans, discusses the yin/yang, she feels that there must be "bad" in order to have "good" and she is destined to repeat her pattern. Lisa wants to steal all of the cereal, she prefers quantity over quality. She realizes that she can't stop searching for a short, sweet sugar high that leaves her empty. Jisoo, in the church, knows she is weak, her stronger future self destroys her with a flaming arrow, and Rosé, driving the car, runs her former self down, the license plate on her car reads EGO

as for other groups to check out i recommend stray kids!!! stray kids are amazing and their music is very unique. stray kids always writes, produces, and composes all of their own music even since predebut which you rarely ever see in kpop. you'll realize quickly how their sound is very different from other things you heard and that's definitely due to them being the creators of their music that they are super proud of! they have been referred to as a group that created "a new genre" because they always stick to their sound while also constantly coming up with new things!

There’s a theory that ‘Lovesick Girls’ is a song about suicide. The first girl, Jennie, died bc of a car accident after a break-up. Second one, Lisa, jumped out of the building after a break up also. Fourth girl, Rosé, drowned herself after that tragic heart break also. Then Jisoo, the third girl, was the about to save them all but it was too late you can see her first part where she was holding a broken hourglass, but the pink sand in it was flowing in reverse, meaning she wanted to go back in time where she could’ve saved them all 3. Just a theory also 💗
