I’ve been listening to sublime since about age 10 (1995), and I used to kind of pass over this song, but it occurred to me the other day how great it really is after watching a vid of them playing it live. So good. Previously my favorite jam was “Get Ready” off this album. I finally listened to the lyrics and they caught my attention. It’s funny how music that you’ve heard for 30 years misses you in a way and then you come back to it and it hits differently.

Actually its because she died very young when his carreer was starting up (28) (week after 'Sublime' album release) He died to a heart attaack caused by his meth addiction If not that he would probably be one of the most appricieated musicians out there similar to jack black Unfortunately he ended up being the next curt cobain but with way less popularity

As a matter of fact, that’s why you don’t like Donald Trump, because he’s crass and rude. The youth of Sublime’s hay day were the trolls, the edgy, scrappy kids. The Xennials, I’ve heard some call us. Too young to be GenX, too old to be millennials; we don’t feel like we fit in either generation, so we just kinda stuck with each other. It’s weird, though, how a lot of millennials “copied” our problems and turned them into fads. We were the kids that for left home alone while our moms worked, while her boyfriend either beat or molested us, the kids with ADHD, depression and crippling anxiety, the kids put on and kept on medicine until our adulthood because we thought that’s how it was supposed to be. We were, and still are, a f**kt up little micro-generation that are strong, and we’re rude, rude people.

Fall in love with ur BFF of over 20yrs and marry her, have her die in your arms, ressicutate her and think my god she's gonna live to find out she was without o2 for long enough to go brajndead.......then have her family fuck off and not help at all and my family do the same(which I expected my family blows)....go thru allll that the night terrors I have 8 almost 9 years later, the what ifs?...... I will NEVER find anybody close to the bond we had and now I'm a 34 year old celebte idiot who is a shadow of their former selves. I used to have game and charisma. I used to be very intelligent and fun to be around......now....I don't have a single friend and that version of "chad" me in high school/college was totally different...we had the metal band rolling and tons of friend's, i opened for dying fetus at the troc before that closed in philly....yeah.....but eventhing just sucks ass now im barley functional. Jonestly im not. I talk myself out of suicide every day. Thats not good....
