Fire Department Dedicates New Ladder Truck

  • January 14, 2016, Dayton, Ohio - The Dayton Fire Department dedicated and demonstrated the newest addition to its equipment fleet at the Fire Training Center (200 McFadden Ave.). The new truck features a 137-ft. aerial ladder, placing it among the most versatile firefighting equipment in the region, and has a 1,500 gallon-per-minute pumping capacity. The new ladder has nearly twice the length of those on several of the Department's existing trucks. The truck cost approximately $852,000, not including special added equipment. The ladder truck will be placed in service at Company 14, 2213 N. Main St.
