Hi, Towers fan here! To the question of what route I take: Typically my route goes x-sector > dark forest and Hex > Spinball > Wicker Man or runaway mine train depending on times > forbidden Valley. Generally we do Smiler first as it's an inside joke that Smiler will break down in a hissy fit if it's not first pick XD
Glad you enjoyed my home park, with the new park management it seems like Towers is on the up and they're supposed to be fully fixing Hex this year but they have said that before!
Alton Towers really carves its own niche in the coaster world. You dont go there for the quality of the rides, you go for the uniqueness of the experience as a whole.
David hmm by the sound's of it you was at Alton Towers on the Saturday like me, me and Adam (Rand's Adventures) only done 2 rides during that extremely busy sold out day and left around 1ish
I stuck around til the bitter end! Just posted a video on my channel about it now. I'm thinking of heading back this Saturday for night rides@@DavesAdventures

Not been there for years, not sure my back and neck is up to it nowadays. Once done 4 back to back rides on nemesis, needed to go sit down afterwards for a while! On the log flume (when it was there), had 4 blokes on it, me, my and 2 other rather large gentlemen, before it even started it was bumping along the bottom. All the way round it was doink, doink, doink with water sloshing out the side, the little drop in the dark nearly gave me whiplash it went down so fast. All 4 of us knew the final drop was not going to be good! Not often you hear 4 screaming men on a log flume! Went down so fast was going backwards in the boat like freefall! Hit the water at the bottom so hard the boat hit the concrete standing under the water and an almightly wave cascaded up and into the boat soaking all of us. it left the inside of the boat with about 8 inches of water in the bottom. We were stared at by the queue of people going into the ride as we dripped our way out. Fun times!!!!! Once you've had enough of the rides, the gardens are absolutely astounding to walk round and considering all the rides around so quiet so well wortth the peace and tranquility with lots of greenery!

Interesting point about Galactica! I’ve never gone to Alton Towers, but I’ve always thought it’s interesting how pretzel loops are put on a lot of B and M flying roller coasters, when the format could be move of like… pretending you’re a bird, and maybe more approachable for a wider audience. Idk that makes sense in my head. So it does seem like a more relaxed layout would be optimal for B and M flying coasters because who doesn’t want to fly, even though personally, I love intense forces. But idk. That’s a thought I’ve always had about flying coasters.
Alton Towers is a rip off. They have far too many visitors in a given day than they have ride capacity for. I managed just four rides in a whole day on my last visit. Ridiculous.

Alton Towers operations over the last 5 years have been a real hot mess. New management seems to be changing things for the better.

correct whislt i do love the prezel loops for intencity air/Galactor is a more realistic version of flying
I think that whilst the park has recently struggled with hex and the sky ride, for me I’ve always had all rides open when I have been.
Nemesis used to have blood red water falls but that was stopped sadly

I'm visiting here in May and my hype for this place has grown a ton lately.
As a towers fan, rita is not worth going on more than once. The queue to actual ride time is so silly (like 40 mins for a 25 second ride)
you would love it even more if you went on hex but i am sure you have seen povs
