Levi is such an amazing character.
He puts up a tough front for his men, but deep down he's just as broken as those who follow him when it comes down to it.

And the worst part is that he then had nothing to give to her parents, which made him feel really bad I would say
They were just tossing bodies to lose weight. Hence the mid show card that talked about the Carts speed and carry capacity.
But also, I think many people miss this. The Emblem that Levi gives I'm pretty sure was Petra's, Levi was meaning to keep it. But he knew that giving it up would bring more happiness to someone else rather than reminding him of the pain of losing friends. He could have gave him anyone's emblem and said it was his friends, still would mean the world to them.
I don't think it was 'just'. Things can be done for more than 1 reason. I don't see how they wouldn't think that the Titans might eat the bodies and stop chasing them. I certainly thought that. If an action has more than one possible benefit that is even better.
@@Jordan-Ramses Don't take it personally, its just, purely, and factually, you are incorrect. They literally say what they are doing, and they show two mid show cards that are all about the actual numbers on the speed and weight they can carry of the carts. Seen the whole show, titans do not eat the dead, period. Please just don't even try to suggest they do, they don't what so ever, not once not even remotely.
Like... are you blind? cuz the shot where the bodies get dropped, the titan doesn't stop to eat them so like wtf are you seeing to even suggest this? Then it shows the cart GOING FASTER AFTER LOSING WEIGHT and all of that was after they were all screaming "DROP THE BODIES TO SPEED UP" again I have to wonder are you legally blind? cuz thats the only excuse beyond the mental.

In this episode we really get to see why Levi is so revered amongst his peers. He's unlike any other solider, even Mikasa doesn't hold a candle to his skills. On top of that he genuinely cares for all of his fellow men and women who fight and die alongside him.
Can't wait for more reactions. This is my favorite anime

Only filler episode in the whole series, and unlike most filler episodes, this one adds to the characters. That ending part with Petra's dad always gets me.😢

i never got the confirmation but it always be strong episode to me as i am not sure about Petra, but i will always believe that Levi was kinda in love with her/had some special feeling towards her

I think i finally understand why she did all of that, and why she was crying.
he is being handed over because last time they literally decided that Levi is the only one who can handle him and as a test, they are taking him outside walls for the mission - same mission that was big fail - scounts lost all creditibility and most likely are going to be stopped from operating anymore
One of the real things that separates Humans from beasts is how we respect and acknowledge the dead and our loved ones. We don't leave them to rot and die in the wilderness (in general).. so with the scouts having to do what they did to their loved ones and comrades, how much closer are they to being more beast than human? Are they that much different than the Titans even? While it had to be done, just how much humanity do you lose by doing such a thing.
Yeah we're nice to dead people. Living people not so much.
