    This is why I subscribed to you, this video is talking to me, I can relate to it well. You saying we are dreamers is spot on. When you visit in the world where mushrooms, DMT or Hard core meditation takes you, you feel you are more sober than normally. Thats because it wakes you from dream of reality.

    This showed up at the perfect time. I recently got to a point where I got rid of a lot of old things (both psychically and physically) and now I'm figuring out how to rebuild anew. But not through things that are only labels, I'm trying to find what naturally bubbles up from inside of me. I got to a point where I was sick of all the excess I had built around me, and now I'm building a more solid foundation. Saturn has also been transiting my moon. 😅 It's easy to get distracted in an age of heavy marketing constantly bombarding your senses, and feel like you have to act impulsively. But I can feel myself becoming more and more disillusioned to these tactics day by day. Lol there is a reason Steve Jobs only wore a turtleneck and jeans every day!

    I recently read Journey to Ixtlan by Carlos Castanada and authenticity seemed to be the main theme of the book. Ixtlan represented the past and how once you reach a certain point in maturity, you can't go back and you will forever be on your journey. Don Juan really stood out to be a good representation of what an adept would be like. A lot of the things you've talked or written about were in that book in one way or another which made it a very interesting read.

    I learned of my purpose years ago, before the true initiation. I didn't believe it. Called it a delusion of grandeur. Then I started dreaming of the book I was about to read. Remember it like yesterday.
    I was standing in the sand, a rock wall at my back (felt like home), a woman by my side (friend)... and a giant circle in front of me that blocked the sky, tens of thousands of teeth glittered in the moonlight. I then noticed my hand was up, as if I was asking this circle monster to stop. Then it started to turn and I realized what it was... it was a giant lamprey. Then, I woke up like WTF?! A couple weeks later, I found Dune. Two main themes resonated with me after reading it: "terrible purpose" and "I can't take without giving and I can't give without taking". (Love the whole series, Frank and Beverly went above and beyond)
    What sent chills up my spine, what made me sick and giddy, strong and fearful, what "made" me feel like I was going crazy was when I started seeing myself in Leto II. He thinks like I do. I've never met or seen anyone like me, and I find it in a fictional book? Is this fate? How is this possible? What does it mean? Is this the future 😅.
    Eventually (about a year) I paddled out of all the delusions and let it go. That's when things really started changing.
    Running out of time, be back later.

    Wasn’t expecting to hear “cap” come up here ❤.
    FYI: cap is a noun & a verb. Rather than say someone is cappin-for me-a weary utterance of “cap” is more than enough. So often, it’s funny enough for the illusion of veracity to be exposed as “🧢” (a cover up)

    Great video topic thank you. There was a time when I was way more authentic and true to myself. Somewhere along the way I got lost in believing the masks that I were. I found that putting on a mask alleviated a lot of friction when dealing with people. Somewhere along the way I got lost in the masks personas and started believing said personas was me. Now, though, I have since realized what I was doing and not use masks If I can. The older I get the less I need to wear masks. I am an acting student tho and I now have a challenging time being in character because from time to time I would just feel like a phony and have to remind myself it’s okay, it’s just make believe. It’s something that you do were you’re actually expected to wear a mask.😅

    To be honest although I am on the path, I am not yet at the point or even close to knowing who I truly am. I’m still in the faker stage, trying on masks to eliminate whats untrue and….. not authentic. The glow of Tiphareth shines bright in the distance….. but I have a long way to go before I realise it unobscured. Great video Lyam thank you. 🙌🏻

    • @lyamchristopher2393
      @lyamchristopher2393  Месяц назад +3

      One of the secrets of the adept (or of Jungian therapists?): It is impossible to be a faker. Even when people pretend to be something they're not, when they try too hard, or even when they flat-out lie...they are still actualizing the truth of what's happening for them right here and now. The only difference is that the adept accepts it and engages with it consciously, no matter how daunting.

    I'm at the point in my life and journey that i can feel inauthenticity almost like someone is taking a grater or a washboard to my energy body. It makes conversation confusing because you hear and feel different, sometimes competing, messages from people and, if you're inexperienced, naturally open, gifted, or sensitive, you may even inadvertently make enemies of people who are so terrified of their authentic selves that rather than interacting with that portion and learning from it, they externalize it and blame the feelings of discomfort on a person or object or activity that was co-occurring.
    Being authentic in the wild is an unconscious challenge to many people. It's why I'm very glad to be able to fade away and lower my intensity by pulling more of the yin energy over me. Its also why i prefer to be at home with my cats. 🤭

    Thank you for this. I am really grateful to have come across your channel. Given your expertise in both imagination and magic, which from what I understand are inseparable, I would love to hear your thoughts on aphantasia. Visualization seems to be core to exercises and rituals in many traditions. Is it possible to make real progress if one is unable to visualize? Thank you in advance.

    • @lyamchristopher2393
      @lyamchristopher2393  26 дней назад

      Aphantasia is not really a thing. Hypophantasia would be a better term. Close your eyes and walk into the kitchen. Your ability to navigate space with your eyes closed depends upon your ability to visualize.
      As far as I know, everyone suffers from hypophantasia (a diminished ability to visualize). When operating within the physical body, visualization gets limited by the nervous system--as well as by the stress response.
      Aside from the activity of the nervous system, there appears to be a level of visualization which transcends it. And that is where we can go in astral projection. Or perhaps that is where we go when we die.

    Would we not then be inauthentic if we didn’t navigate parts of our shadow to liberate the true essence of ourselves. Especially those individuals whose consciousness is deep and are suffering from lack of integration. Are we not liberating both beast and angel? This has always been an issue I feel the GD, and other practitioners have never really addressed for me. Perhaps you could do a video.

    • @lyamchristopher2393
      @lyamchristopher2393  Месяц назад +1

      I think you nailed it there. Authenticity explores what is coming up right now. And what is coming up right now is always shadow stuff.
      No need to liberate the angel. The angel is the very act of liberation. Hence the wings.

      All of the readings on mythology and Tarot in the Kabbalah Magic books. For literature, take a literature course and make a list of (1) literary devices, (2) commonly appearing symbols, and (3) archetypes. Study critical thinking and study the different kinds of logical fallacies or propaganda (and avoid getting caught up in political paranoia).

    Worked through half of your content. Great information! Horrendous Ad placements and Ad frequency for length of these videos. Your view count doesnt justify the need for 8-10 ads across 30-40 mins. It serves only to distract, annoy, and interupt your free YT viewers. Consider placing at the beginning and end only if you must. The Ad revenue for your current placement is peanuts anyway at your view counts and can slowly errode at your reputation as a content creator. Promote your book or services instead! Nothing quite kills the magickal mood or learning experience than commercials every 3-4 minutes. Channel has huge potential otherwise.

      Thanks for your reply and the implied workaround. I'm not suggesting the Ads themselves are the 'problem'. In fact, if they help sustain creators like yourself to continuously deliver high quality content like this then there is a place for them. The trouble is, the YT model is flawed as ad revenue doesn't reward emerging creators very well. Furthermore, for the consumer it's either pay for no-ads or get bombarded for free. I still think creators should be mindful (until a better reward model evolves) that strategic Ad placement and integrating their own offerings within their content is a better audience experience. All i'm suggesting is less Ads in the body of your presentations could foster greater engagement among your audience longterm. Notwidthstanding, that studies show majority of users are on mobile devices and more often using the App rather than a browser. But do as thou wilt.
