Ah, yes. And Terra’s empty armor, his Lingering Will, has just been sitting here for years… waiting… until KH2, when you fight him as Sora 😢💔 and even after that fight, he continues to wait. Poor guy
So damn tragic! His heart and will was so genuine and pure though that it outlasted his body and mind! 💔
Terranort stealing your commands and healing himself mid-battle is kind of funny
I was so shook!!
And now you've seen the origin of Lingering Will from KH2! Such a sad ending for Terra but time to see the next part of the story!
So awesome and so heartbreaking!! Poor Terra!! 💔
Amazing job beating Terranort without Leaf Bracer! That is a HARD fight, especially blind! It's really funny that Slide Dash is what dealt the finishing blow.
And now you know the story behind Lingering Will. It's cool that Rage Awakened (Lingering Will's boss fight music) plays here too, and you can actually appreciate without worrying about dying in 10 seconds, lol. It's a fan favorite track for good reason.
Slide Dash FTW!!! Congrats on beating Terranort on your first try! I remember the first time I played this part of the story on my PSP. We didn't have KH2 Final Mix in the west as of yet, but I had seen the extended secret ending and the Lingering Will boss on RUclips, so I was FREAKING OUT when Terra's armor squared up and we got to play as Lingering Will. One touch I liked about the fight was that Terranort was using all of Terra's techniques. Somehow makes the fight even more personal!

31:21 right here when xehanort shot that beam to the air , I lost it. I was like “wtf is going on holy shit” felt like I was watching a fast paced dragon ball z fight
I'm not sure if anybody said this on your first Birth By Sleep video. You asked for tips and this slipped by me at the time. For the finisher commands, ( Actions that become available if you did not execute enough commands to trigger a command style), the colour, (I'm Canadian) that shows on the locked finisher indicates the method. I do not know red. Blue is collecting D-link. Green for HP. Yellow is munny while the other colours are defeated enemies. The ones exclusive to each character is broken down into at least 5 variations.
That's wild how you barely beat terra-nort by the skin of your teeth! That was amazing. Just a tip for future boss fights to make it smoother for ya, those projectiles sometimes boss shoots out, you can guard and it'll deflect them at to them and can do some good chunk of damage. Play around with it, and you can be sure guard can save your life in future boss battles!
Can't wait for the next story playthroughs. Just don't forget to NOT overwrite your past terra playthrough or Ventus and leave them all separate for each character so you can play the after story. Good luck!🫡

Things got busy for myself when this game originally came out and wasn’t able to play these games myself, but I’m glad to experience it through your play through.

In case no one has said, χ (chi) is a letter of greek alphabet. In this case, pronounced "key"; so χ-blade = "key"blade. Its THE keyblade use to unlock and control Kingdom Hearts
They will explain this later in the game
So, a little bit of backstory involving Terra-Xehanort (Xehanort-possessed Terra) and Master Xehanort that you most likely wouldn't know since it pertains to the Japanese voice cast.
Terra-Xehanort is voiced by Akio Otsuka, and Master Xehanort was voiced by his father Chikao Otsuka; mostly known in video game voice acting as Dr. Eggman's VO starting with Sonic Adventure until his death in 2015.
There could have been a time where we never had gotten both father and son to work together on a project like this, as prior to 2008, the two were not on speaking terms; only coming back together after Hideo Kojima (Metal Gear/Metal Gear Solid's creator) was able to get them to make amends by having them talk to one another in the finale of MGS4, as there was essentially a father/son moment , and in turn acted as a reconciliation moment both in game and in real life.
Due to this, they were able to work on more voice projects; eventually coming to ahead here in Birth by Sleep, and while Chikao sadly as mentioned before passed WELL before Kingdom Hearts III released; the role was dutifully taken up by his son in his father's place.
hopefully you go back to Terras save at some point to get his xehanort report from the mirage arena. Ventus has 2 reports found in chests and Aqua has 1 that is found in a chest all the others you get automatically.

So something to have in the back of your mind now that you have seen Terras fate, notice the protagonists designs. All three effectively have an X across their chest however of the three only Terras X is unobstructed by the Keyblade Masters emblem
Buy 2 blocks, and an esuna. Melding one of the blocks with esuna, or alternatively, a maxed curaga will make renewal block
If you succeed in blocking a blockable attack, it will heal you.
Eraqus is both a mentor and father figure to Terra, Aqua and Ventus.
I died so many times fighting Terranort I actually resorted to turning off all my commands in the ridiculous hope he wouldnt have any when Xehanort stole my body (it didnt work lol)

Hiya! When you're melding you can press triangle to hide anything that is unusable. The reason you had a bunch of commands but couldn't meld any of them it's become they have to level up first.

And ahh so they have to be a certain level to be melded?
@@JadeJoob yes, for most commands you just have to get it to level two to be able to meld but most of the time you're going to want to get the crown first so you can get whatever ability is attached to it permanently
Xehanort was grooming Terra the whole time. Making him fight feeding his darkness to prepare him to be his heart tank. Don’t worry about Master Eraqus. His fight isn’t over. Notice when the Lingering Will first appeared, the chains that Eraqus used during his fight with Terra trapped Xehanort. Eraqus is inside of Terra’s heart.

Terra is also a fantastic character!
To me Terra is almost based off of Anakin from Star Wars. He so wants to do what is right but.. Just always ends up doing wrong and it leads him down a path that ends in tragedy.

Jade what ending song do you prefer Simple and clean or Sanctuary in KH 2?
They’re both so incredible I love them both!! Maybe Sanctuary a bit more but I love simple and clean a lot too
You need use material like crystals to get abilities for commands
Have you practiced melding your abilities or doing the command boards on the game it raises there levels faster and you can get rare moves and spells too
I definitely want to keep trying different meldings of my abilities!
Old Xehanort has a hidden move where he slams Terra to the ground and blasts him with ice. You can expect more of this moving forward, with some requiring your input.
His being easier than the next phase is explained by his "losing" quote- "Only now have I truly won." He threw the fight so his new body would be fresh and unsullied.
The armour might have protected Terra, but he was too slow in manisfesting it.
The "All worlds are born in darkness" speech will be reiterated by Seeker of Darkness in the first game.
This version of Xehanort uses the same voice actor. In the japanese version, old Xehanort was voiced by the father of the actor voicing him up to this point.
The armours' capes were missing due to technical issues with the multiplayer. The remaster added a tiny scene of the cape popping out to maintain continuity with the Lingering Will.

@@JadeJoob The final HD collection? So you’re not familiar with the other collection. I know the name is silly, but that’s really the title. :p Gotta make sure you look into that too before KH3 after you finished 1.5+2.5 that you are currently playing.
@@JadeJoob That response answers a question I've been wondering: whether or not you were aware of the other collection. Yep, you have another game to play in between KHII and III! It's on the level of importance as Birth By Sleep (though it's subjective if it's a better game or not lol).
