- Compression bags are a great way to remove air from bulky items you take bikepacking. This is not a sewing lesson, just showing the construction method of my favourite compression bag.

Great video.... thanks. I had to laugh about the Ikea table.... we have two and a couple of other bag makers I know also have them. Bizarre.
those draws. so useful.
Thank you for this great video and the pdf. What did you use to stitch over those seems. I couldnt quite make out the audio in that section. I think its grosgrain? if so what kind/size? thank you
Thank you. Yes. Its Grosgrain. I believe i used RPET 22mm.
❤❤❤
This was super useful- thank you. Can I ask what machine you were using with the grosgrain binding foot?
Its a Juki 1510.
Bit of a noob, can I ask what thread you are using, mine never seems tough enough?
Also, you use a lighter a lot, is that because all your fabrics are plastic based and hence its to ‘seal’ them?
I use a 3ply 250Den nylon thread for materials that are more than 180g/m2 (no formula, thats just what i do). For lighter fabrics i use 3ply 150Den.
I use the lighter to melt the ends of thread and the ends of webbing, not the fabric.
On the faster machine it didn’t look like you always back stitch to lock the thread, is there a reason why?
Some times its not needed to back tack eg. when a seam gets folded back on its self and then stitched down.
What is the clear material called
Its a light weight Dyneema fabric
