Uchiko Tourism Assoc I wanted to share this with you all. Thank you Anna for opening up the indigenous beauty of Japan, the quaint villages of magnificent architecture both inside and out. The monuments, spiritual areas, the shops also have there, own unique beauty. My most favourite is Kamihaga Residence oh my gosh it is just divine, the beauty, serenity, space, flow, spiritual essence it appears as if I’m seeing the past, present and future all at the same time it is just magical, as if time stood still yet continues to move, and it's weaving into the present time while both time in space continuums are propelling the future. The rafters are spectacular and when you walk in it's as if I'm sitting in the ribcage of a mother’s beating heart. The outside architecture is flawless from the foundations of stone to the rooftops and all the intricacies in-between…….WOW!!!! Throughout the entirety I see proudness of the people, their strength, collaboration, cohesiveness and congruency woven like both an armour to protect and a cloak of love and warmth. There were different motifs on some houses or buildings as I’m assuming they are houses, it’s as if these motifs are signifying a family’s coat of arms. There was an advert half way through that was beauty in itself of Shiga & Lake Biwa = go.biwako. The Uchiko Theatre…..is simply spectacular!!! Tamarubashi Bridge area is serene, the water wheel, seats to have those quiet times of reflection. Thank you, much love and blessings from Aotearoa [NZ] 💙💙💙

Imagine living in one of those houses. You can go check your eggplant in the mini-garden in the morning, go fishing at noon, work on your laptop in the afternoon, then watch the stars at night. On weekends, perhaps take care of bonsai trees, and eat soba. Sounds like a great way to live for me.

What a beautiful sunny day. And just a spectacular view from above on the hillside. And of course those hidden gems tucked away on that hillside. I really like the contrast between the town and the village. Nice job again.
About to go shopping, Anna's name pops up so back to the screen. And discover a tour of a town which could be called a study in elegance. Even the massive Buddha looking after the town is gracefully reclining. With its whitewashed plaster walls, Uchiko is quite a contrast to other places Anna has taken us to, and to the pretty mountain village with its waterwheels. And thanks for the image of the shop front at 8:33, reminding me to add soy sauce to my shopping list!

You could take either the visual images or the music, and each would be good enough on their own. Combine them and you create sensory magic. Such a well crafted combination.
I love the way you film architectural detail & construction techniques: pause-study, pause-study. It's like if you filmed Tutankhamen's mask, you'd show it from behind & below, which no-one else does. The last time I was this early, the samurai still wore their swords publicly. My insomnia finally pays off. Another amazing video Anna. I love my job but I have to get ready for work! I know it is a tourist town, but boy-howdy. I could spend days wandering here. The ambience of these two towns is incredible. Once again, you show us little details in architecture that other walking video creators do not. I want so badly to go into that old theater! It is an old movie house. Somewhere in time "Sansho the Bailiff" or "The Hidden Fortress" are still playing! I wish! Then you treat us to a second theater, this one open and dedicated to Kabuki. A truly lovely place. I imagine the plays they staged here and perhaps still do (I see the lights!). The homes and temples are amazing. More gems emerge - the Tamarubashi covered bridge and the equally lovely Seiyuen garden appear. My "feels" detector is off the charts! I absolutely love the water wheel. Your attention to details keeps me coming back. The conclusion begins with a reminder of this place's importance as an agricultural village. Then we are off to the shrine - crossing yet another lovely bridge! Wow! I will return to your video many times this weekend. Hontoni Arigato Gozaimasu!

I don't know, but as a Japanese living in Tokyo myself...these videos of declining, rural Japan are really moving. With a dwindling population, someone needs to take on the passed baton, to keep these historic places alive, from crumbling into the earth. But like most of us, there is little work in places like this - we all end up going to the cities. Knowing that perhaps in 30 years, these beautiful towns with centuries of history behind them may be lost - these beautiful videos, may be the records we look to.
As old as the town is with some new homes and buildings after seeing the observatory I wonder if it was in any Japanese movies? But great views from the observatory saw a car crossing the bridge the night view is probably great seeing the stars at night. Whoever does your music 🎶 is doing a great job especially if you have a Bluetooth sound bar or speaker like I have especially the change if video and the tempo of the sound to. When there is no people there are certain times and days you can shoot a video like this one. Forgot commercials ugh have to watch what I missed again but it’s worth it. 👍⭐️📷🇯🇵

いい場所ですね、内子座とか太鼓橋とか興味をそそられました。20:25付近の石畳東のしだれ桜、数本の枝の支え木を見てふと思い出したのが山梨の「山高神代桜」。日本三大桜とも言われてますが、私個人のお勧めの一つでもあります。もう少しすると梅の花、そして桜へと続く春の素晴らしい時期が待ち遠しい。

The last time I was this early, the samurai still wore their swords publicly. My insomnia finally pays off. Another amazing video Anna. I love my job but I have to get ready for work! I know it is a tourist town, but boy-howdy. I could spend days wandering here. The ambience of these two towns is incredible. Once again, you show us little details in architecture that other walking video creators do not.
I want so badly to go into that old theater! It is an old movie house. Somewhere in time "Sansho the Bailiff" or "The Hidden Fortress" are still playing! I wish! Then you treat us to a second theater, this one open and dedicated to Kabuki. A truly lovely place. I imagine the plays they staged here and perhaps still do (I see the lights!).
The homes and temples are amazing. More gems emerge - the Tamarubashi covered bridge and the equally lovely Seiyuen garden appear. My "feels" detector is off the charts! I absolutely love the water wheel. Your attention to details keeps me coming back.
The conclusion begins with a reminder of this place's importance as an agricultural village. Then we are off to the shrine - crossing yet another lovely bridge! Wow! I will return to your video many times this weekend. Hontoni Arigato Gozaimasu!

I don't know, but as a Japanese living in Tokyo myself...these videos of declining, rural Japan are really moving.
With a dwindling population, someone needs to take on the passed baton, to keep these historic places alive, from crumbling into the earth.
But like most of us, there is little work in places like this - we all end up going to the cities.
Knowing that perhaps in 30 years, these beautiful towns with centuries of history behind them may be lost - these beautiful videos, may be the records we look to.

As old as the town is with some new homes and buildings after seeing the observatory I wonder if it was in any Japanese movies? But great views from the observatory saw a car crossing the bridge the night view is probably great seeing the stars at night. Whoever does your music 🎶 is doing a great job especially if you have a Bluetooth sound bar or speaker like I have especially the change if video and the tempo of the sound to. When there is no people there are certain times and days you can shoot a video like this one. Forgot commercials ugh have to watch what I missed again but it’s worth it. 👍⭐️📷🇯🇵
