An interesting fact: This effect and sandified are incompatible. If you try to sandify a puppet, it dies instantly. I'm sure that this was already a behavior when puppets were introduced, but this update made it easy to find out. Edit: Since I've gotten two replies about it already, let me clarify. Yes, I do know *why* puppets die when sandified, I just wanted to point it out because it's not shown in the video and it's a neat detail.
I mean it's made completely out of blood, and canonically being "covered" in sand turns all of the enemy's blood into sand I already know what will follow from me posting this, save yourself the trouble im doing it first "🤓🤓🤓🤓"

I believe this option being put in the players hands is just an interesting addition for custom levels and the like. Also I don't think that it will be used in future levels as it's a core mechanic of 7-3 though having a summoner type enemy that makes trash mob puppets could be a use for it outside of that instance.
it was written in the patch note, most of yall prob already knew that tho ? not sure, but i dont see much people talk about it, so i'm gonna say it anyway: you can type "buffs forcepuppet" (or smth like that i forgor lol) in the console similarly to forceradiance, which is pretty cool, useless, but cool. same for sanded.

I think that’s new, I remember messing around with regular puppets in sandbox before the update

Hope we see the puppets again, serving purpose for refighting major bosses in fraud (with hp cut in half probably)
i feel like the P-3 boss will have a phase where he just summons a sisyphus and minos puppet and watches you getting your ass whooped by them
in 9-2 imagine if Gabriel teams up with the tree of life and it creates like puppet clones of gabriel during the fight
The enemies that are puppets also move and attack slower + have less hp than their normal counterparts

Possibly if an enemy is covered in blood it applies this sort of blood thing and the blood thing has like 5 HP bonus
Or anything like this
Please can someone ask hakita if puppets are coming back probaly on trechary because is where trickster goes
I think it would probably mostly be used for cybergrind mode
or at least it would be cool to
probably getting groundwork for custom levels done by adding random stuff like this
what does a radiant puppet look like?
Blood highlighted on LGBT
seems like something that could bring V2 back
this probably going use on either fraud or 9th layer where they summon enemies in puppet mode, but I don't know, probably a puppet summoner enemy.
imagine if fraud layer had mimics that mimics bosses movements but not their health and were puppets
V 2 PUPPET WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
sandify and puppetify something, it does a super cool explosion effect
This is probably gonna be used for a future level where we fight against a puppeted V2.
P-3 and the boss uses puppeted versions of minos and sisyphus
I think this will be most of the enemies in the fraud layer like these are just frauds of the actual enemies
This is how v2 returns in fraud

minos as a common enemy confirmed?
