I have been looking for des album for a very long time, it reminds me some time back in 1990/1991 when Brenda fassy and Jambo of south Africa came to Zambia in Independence stadium this album was played and we enjoyed and then we enjoyed from the South Africans.
You've outdone yourself with this Majoza Band album...in Zambia we say "Wa Chaya apa" meaning you've hit the sweet spot!...the band was originally from Lusaka Matero township and were great concert bands... sadly most band members are now late....they defined the tail end of the Kalindula genre....been on repeat all week....keep em coming
I feel you! I've been listening to it constantly since I got it. I've been intrigued by this album for a while since I heard ruclips.net/video/Jm5ZHjNwfyE/видео.htmlsi=tid3HVOGUXBGajxN - The Sound Inspectors record I posted a couple months ago. I picked up Botswana Show specifically because Clement Mubanga was involved in both, but I didn't know whether the album would live up to my hopes. It did! It seems like it was a good choice!
Great music indeed. Looking forward to some more. Especially those for done in the 80s for the independence celebration like Zambia at 20. Ba KK mwabombeni pakutungulula emyeka 20
Authentic, undiluted Zambian music of yesteryears.Thank you so very much for these songs.
