    I have learned so much from your videos - about color scheme, motifs, repeating elements, and Procreate. Invaluable. The bit about using automatic selection has been simple yet useful. Thank you so much.

    Wow cool vid, you taught me multiple ways to do each thing which I appreciate. Definitely going to use all the different leaf techniques a lot. It makes the work look consistent to the same style but still unique, which is pretty cool.

    Learnt my lesson! Need to skip ahead to see if you go changing the leaves etc. I'm drawing on paper & jumped the gun & did my bold outline only to find that you'd decided to alter it. Still enjoying your tutorial though!

    I knew a tattoo artist for years and years and he had three shops in London….. he would literally decide not to hire an artist if they used one of these iPad things for drawing… he would ask for a drawing of whatever and see if they pulled out pen and paper or one of those… if it was the latter you weren’t getting the job…

    great video! I really like your style. Just out of curiosity, what size canvas are you drawing on? 8.5"x11", or 11"x14", or do you just use a small one? canvas size matters on how they print cleanly too, right?

      Go into your canvas, then onto actions (looks like a spanner), then select Prefs, then turn on Brush Cursor.

    Hey! Can anyone tell me how to stop my colours overlapping my shading/blacks? I’m using the auto selection tool but my colours always cover my blacks :( my stylus doesn’t have pressure sensitivity, would it be down to opacity or is there a brush setting I can change?

    • @cameron9261
      @cameron9261 2 года назад

      You should have your colours on a separate layer, and it should be under the shading layer in terms of order. Hope that helps

      Thanks, for general drawing like this a4 size at 300dpi. If I was drawing for say a print I'd do around a2 size at 300dpi. The bigger you go the less layers you can use though its the main drawback

    You can’t even see how you drew the outline of the rose? Your hand is always in the way, I love your videos but you gotta get your hand out the way and darken your lines so people can see the line outlines when your lightly sketch them in. We can’t see your iPad POV

    • @thebrokenpuppet
      @thebrokenpuppet  2 года назад +4

      No worries ill try and develop a technique for drawing without hands. Maybe pencil levitation

    • @Bayles15
      @Bayles15 2 года назад

      @@thebrokenpuppet That should probably work. I’m just saying it’s hard to see the outline to follow along with while you draw up the piece. Your videos are what I use to learn how to begin getting into all of this, I love them but sometimes they aren’t the best with the outline, all I’m sayin mate

      Lol no worries I’m just playing, I know it’s my biggest weakness with the vids. being left handed make it really hard to draw without curving my hand that blocks everything and the linework always seems darker from my view then the camera picks up. I’m working on it though

    • @Bayles15
      @Bayles15 2 года назад

      @@thebrokenpuppet I’m honestly just shook you replied lol I’ve watched your videos for awhile now, that’s so fuckin cool! Lol I don’t think your hand getting in the way is such a problem just the darkness of how the camera picks up your sketch
