Within the first 24 hours being released I knew it word for word. I spent 7 horrific years in absolute hell. Very sad. I'm now 11 years clean, but not without MANY OD deaths from the people I love and in my old circle. My heart so is so fucking broken for those who didn't escape. I've been in recovery 4 years and have lost dozens of people in my life due to addiction. This song is everything that needs to be said. I hope one day the world will realize that addiction is not something we choose its a sickness that is bury inside and is brought out by our own damaged mind and from the abuse the world has put us through. I numbed my mind for a decade after being prescribed oxy 30s for 3 years and realizing they stopped the pain. Then herion creeped into my life and that was it. Homelessness,losing my daughters,sleeping with every guy that gave me attention, cheating on my husband who was on the same path as I was, watching friends die and overdosing more than I'd like to admit. Now I've been with my husband 9 years married 2, we've got our daughters back and added another baby girl and we've lived in our home for 5 years. I will always be an addict and I will always have to stay away from temptation but it's my own strength and music like this that keeps me on this earth to care for and love my husband and baby girls. So thank you so much for writing not only this song but all of them. It's like you took all my thoughts and put then to music. It's beautiful and you are beautiful in every way💗💗

I just lost my 2nd brother less than 2 weeks ago to a drug overdose and less than 4 years apart. This song hits hard for me. Seeing my parents having to bury both of them was my wake up call!! I will honour my brothers and family and be the change I need to be for myself and my children. My heart is so broken but this song reminds me of everything I am fighting for. Love that you speak on this subject. I come from a family of addicts. I have went through it myself and luckily made it out to the other side. But I have lost a lot of family and friends due to this disease. It's something that has traumatized me since I was a kid and having to do CPR on my father due to a over dose. (Many time). I used to be ashamed about it. But I am not any more. And I pray for every soul walking through that darkness to be able to make it to the beautiful sunlight. Thank you for your message. I shared this song when you first released it. It's on my playlist. Everything was so real. I had 7 years clean and then relapsed in 2008. 2009 I got 18 months clean then relapsed again. I now have 81 months clean. The person I'm with has 18 years clean. #WEDORECOVER. Thank you for your inspiration and dedication to helping the next person.

I absolutely love this song. I am 34 years old and have struggled with drug addiction over 3 quarters of my life. I have lost countless friends and loved ones to addiction and have overdosed at least twice that I know of. I am now just over 15 months clean and I thank God every single day for keeping me alive all these years. There's no other explanation for me. Thank y'all for sharing this song. I have never done drugs, but I have had a few people close to me suffer from alcohol addiction and depression. The lyrics are already meaningful, but when you add the images of people who lost their battles, makes it hit even harder. I stumbled across this on my Facebook Reels and had to hear the full version. The lyrics and images relay an amazing message and I hope that this song is able to reach the people who need it most.

I absolutely LOVE this song/video. My son Cody, that I lost 3 1/2 yrs ago to his addiction would've loved it as well. I applaud you for putting your deep emotions out there for the world to hear. We can only try to understand the struggle an addict faces every day. I have always said addicts are the strongest people I know. They struggle all day and night long, only to get back up and start all over again the next day. They keep trying and trying. I get so angry when I hear ignorant people dare to call them weak. I would like to see them struggle like that!!!
Since Cody's death, I started a nonprofit group called Families Fighting Addiction where we support the loved ones of those who are addicted or those they have lost their battle to addiction. Every December 31st (Cody's birthday) we provide a Memorial Event for the community for those who lost their lives to their addiction. We will not let our loved ones and their deaths be forgotten. We will continue to fight the stigma of addiction and push for awareness of the disease and show how we as a community can make a difference so that our lost loved one's deaths will not be in vain. December 31st of 2019 we played your video for all to see. It was very emotional and loved by all. It was the perfect video for our memorial. We have also send to everyone we could think of. Thank you so much for all you do!!!!

I can't say I relate to this from an addicts stand point but definitely the family/friends side. About a month ago I almost lost my boyfriend. I came in the room and his lips were turning blue. I called 911 and administered CPR until they go there which felt like forever. If I wasn't here I would've lost him. I've also lost many many friends to heroin. My bf had 5yrs clean. Now I'm praying he can get better again. Sending all my love to all of you fighting addiction❤

This song hit me so damn hard. I've I've through the addiction. Luckily I was able to know I still wanted my family and was able to get sober and clean for them. They meant more to me than the drugs. But this song makes me never want to go back to it. This will be something I come to when im having a rough time.

There's a line in the song that says "i seen more friends die that get married" and I can give a hearty amen to that because ive probably seen twice as many die then marry. Could be even more than that. In my cell phone I have the numbers of over 30 friends that are not here anymore because I can't bring myself to delete them. It turns out that it is also a good way to track the damage done. The most damaging was when the love of my life died quietly in her bed one night with me in the bed with her. I had been not knowing anything for probably hours. I've had numerous tragedies that any one of them would have been enough for a lifetime and yet I linger. At some point you start wondering what is it that you are paying for? What did you do that was so bad that I must endure this? The trauma is physical as well as mental and they both hurt equally. This is why Chandas music has been helpful for me. She knows deep pain but she is a warrior just like me. I see a Nordic warrior queen in her. Bless everyone's souls!! Keep on keeping on y'all
